The Shinigami Masquerade
Every 200 years a celebration is put on to remember the legend of the masked demon. Though everyone in the beautiful town of Kara Kura wears masks everyday of their lives, this is the day were a complete dress up is required. It is only every 200 years that the theater of the greats opens and clears its floors for a country-wide ball. Many say the mask demon sits on his Juliet-balcony and watches over the millions that move. Every ball thrown in that theater will end in a shocking ending, a fellow citizen will be kidnapped and taken away to never be seen again. Those whom know of the legend and ignore it are hunted down by the demonic mongrels the great phantom owns. As a punishment it is said that the people are ripped apart by the canines, their mask left with a beautiful white rose. The rose symbolizes the phantoms presence of once being there, also clearing up the mystery of the 'missing' citizen.
Those whom decide not to wear their masks outside their homes are destined for nothing more than a sacrifice to the phantom to absorb. Nobody knows exactly where the demon phantom takes his chosen or what he does with their bodies, but all the villagers know is that it is a dangerous task to break the rules of the kingdom of Kara Kura.
After the first ball of the phantom undergoes and after the missing being is discovered to be missing due to being taken by the phantom the following day is only a day of quiet prayer. Though at the same time as the opening of the theater from the day before, a large building that appears much like a church without the stained windows opens its floor to the remaining group of people left from the grande ball before in order to hears the last words of the one the phantom had taken. It is provided by the royals due to their natural divine power. Some how summoning the being in a soul form without his/her mask in order to assure they are at peace with their position of being chosen by the phantom.
It appears this year there have been a few odd occurring events. Murders have been occurring more often than ever before, not including the sacrificing of the sinful to the phantom. A black rose is being left on these victims so there is no way that a simple kidnapping.
It appears that the head constable as reported to his post that he has seen monsters in the night. The people are unsure if the beasts seen at night are that of the phantoms making or if something has conjured up these demons. Though by morning the creatures are suddenly gone. Much like a gargoyles legend in many towns to keep the villagers in doors. The king has been recruiting even more guards... not knowing the adopted princess knows more of the beasts than many around.
Shall you survive, be taken by the phantom, or end up a beasts lunch? We shall see...

Pure Bloods; Complete hollow beasts whom cannot transform into true humans but can take a powerful form
