Cyd held back the snarl that was so certainly bound to erupt from her throat. She could tell that her father was already gone, and knew it was only to make sure she couldn't get back home. Home... Such a lose term for her. She may have hated James, but she needed him right now. If only to keep her away from her father. Because surely after this last time, he'd kill her if she was sent home again. "All I want from you is to get my clothes from my fathers house. After that I care very little about what or whom you do." She just knew that it wasn't going to be her. She realized that this wouldn't be an easy marriage, and that they truly did hate reach other. Their only hope of having a peaceful home was to just leave each other be as much as possible, though she doubted that it would happen. Jamie wasn't the type to leave someone alone, he wanted the control.
¿? Maveryk ¿?
Maveryk let out a pathetic cry as his parents grabbed an arm each and pulled him to a stop. It was the first time in nearly two days that they'd been able to get him to stay still for longer than a moment. He was in complete and utter meltdown mode. Today was the day. Not any other day, but THE day! He was... Today he was... He was getting... MARRIED! He couldn't believe it! He was so excited and so scared and so nervous and so overwhelmed! He was completely and utterly losing his mind. He'd already had his suit changed more times than he could possibly count!
Unlike most others though he had very loving parents, and didn't see marriage as something entirely horrible. He hated that he couldn't know his bride beforehand, but that was just how it went. His issue came in when physical intimacy was concerned. He loved to snuggle o have general contact, but anything farther than that was just beyond him. He didn't have one set thing that he was in charge of. He had more than one set of parts to look out for, and neither one was going away. He was nearly in tears at the thought for the past few months, knowing that his wife to be was either going to be so ignorant that she'd think it was normal, or she'd know that he was horribly deformed and condemn him to hell for it.
He was ever so thankful for his parents though. They had been his rock, his entire support system throughout his life. He buried his face in his mothers chest and clung to her as it all hit him. His fathers arms wrapped around them both and they stayed like that for a long, long time. Maveryks nerves had him on edge and entirely shaking. He always did this before social gatherings though, and this was the most stressful one yet. He was never entirely sure how he was supposed to conduct himself, and when he got nervous he'd spazz out entirely and then run and hide. He was trembling by the time his parents finally pulled away from the hug.
He didn't want to leave home. He was just a kid. He opened his mouth to protest but his mothers fingers lightly pressed against his lips, hushing him. "Mavy, sweetheart, you're going to be okay. I'm sure that you'll be a wonderful husband." He whined lightly and his fathers reassuring hand on his shoulder kept him from breaking down again. "Son, listen to your mother. Everything will be alright. You've grown up into a fine young man." He wasn't quite used to his fathers direct approval, and it certainly caught him off guard. He'd never outright disapproved of him before, but still. He leaned into his dad and hugged him tight as he could, like he used to do when he was just a small boy. He knew he had to make them proud today, for all that they had done for him, this was the least he could do. He sniffed back his tears and wiped off his face, trying to be as brave as he could.
The trip to the carriage was hard enough due to him all but being dragged into it, but the ride was short, or should have been. There was a heard of sheep caught in the road. He was antsy already but now they were being delayed. He may have stalled, but he didn't want to get there late! This day was not going as planned. He was completely sleep deprived and nothing at all was going as planned. The world might as well have been ending! They arrived late than intended, but not to late for the actual ceremony. He and his parents rushed inside quickly, but quietly. And as he hears his name matched with a Lady Jason Cornell his heart skipped in his chest. Who was she? What was she like? Would she like him? Everything in his head went insane, and his father had to lead him up to stand next to her.
His mouth literally hung open at the sight of her. She was so... Unique. He jumped as he felt his fathers fingers push his jaw up to shut his mouth. He hadn't even realized he had done that. He blushed a deep crimson and shooed his dad away to go comfort his sobbing mother. He turned back to Jason, and grinned. She was SO pretty. She had the shortest hair he'd ever seen on a woman, and it struck him as perfectly fitting for her. She seemed kind almost, but certainly not submissive. She wasn't outwardly cruel though, and he was very glad for that. "I'm... I'm Maveryk, Miss Jason... And I'd love to be your husband..." He nodded a bit and held his hand out to her, hoping she'd be willing to take him as a husband. Somewhere deep down, he knew that neither of them had the choice to turn it down, but he hated to think of that.
