"Ehhh... It's home..." Ash murmured with a shrug, glancing towards him, her eyes pretty wide and innocent right then as she watched him.

Takai was still looking around the hall, before his eyes settled back on her, "It's nicer than anything I could afford."

"I live here with my mother and brother, so we all contribute..." Ash murmured with a bit of a shrug, still watching him. She was carefully looking him over, trying to convince herself that he was completely wrong for her to begin liking.

"Tell me about them..." He murmured, turning his attention to his hands.

"There's not much to tell... They're my family... My mother I don't see much, but my brother is always there for me, well, when he can be..." Ash said softly, shrugging some as she spoke, not knowing what to say really.

"Oh. I forgot most of my family..."

"That's depressing... I don't think I would want to be a vampire for that very reason... You lose everyone close to you..." Ash murmured, looking up at him, her expression sympathetic.

Takai sighed, "...Well..." He shook his head slightly, "I haven't exactly... ever been.. liked."

"Really? Sweet guy like you?" Ash asked sarcastically, sticking her tongue out at him. She didn't dislike him, but she didn't exactly like him with how rude he had been to her when he fed from her. Her hand subconsciously brushed across the bite on her neck as she thought about it.

Takai sighed, "My parents tried to kill me... At the age of five." He bit his lip, "They pinned me down into the bath they'd run for me, fully-clothed. It was weird, obviously... I mean, usually, they'd run the bath, and help me into it... But anyway... My mum..." He closed his eyes, reliving it, "She held the knife in her hand, and sliced my arm repeatedly, until a neighbour heard my screams." He sighed, "That's the only memory I have, and thats because, when I do sleep, I have nightmares of it."
