Her tail lashed around and she was slammed to his fist. With a huff, she fell to the ground, breathless. She shuddered with each breath then saw him stand over her. With a growl, she sunk her fangs deep in his leg, letting the light purple venom seep in his mucsles and tissues, acting as acid and destroying any cell in the way. With a cry, he tried to shake her off, but her tail latched on him, making her stay put.

Where am I? This feels familiar... Kurai thought, mind drifting. He was standing in his cell, watching a white ball in the sky. Is this the sun? No, it can't be. I don't know what the sun looks like, but it can't be white, can't it? And why do I feel so happy and refreshed looking out there? I want to be there. Kurai's eyes sparkled, and all of a sudden he sat up with a gasp. He could feel the difference in his body, and stiffened as he saw the body next to him. There were claw marks all over the walls, and everything reachable had been trashed. Kurai felt the urge to vomit, but withheld the urge. He hunched over, wings folded over his head, until he heard footsteps. He peeked out to see the dreaded professor, grinning down at him, holding a sleeping dart just in case. Kurai moaned, turning away. He didn't want to talk right now. "Kurai? Are you back with us?" Dr. Shinkō asked softly, reaching towards Kurai's left wing.

[Dᴇᴀʀ Iɴsᴀɴɪᴛʏ]

Haru pulled her fangs from his leg and allowed the strange vines to slither back in her body, she jumped back and coiled up in her wings. Her eyes were still dark and black, Dr. Ochiru walked in and tended to the wounded hybrid then looked to her and smiled kindly. "Hello darling~ How do you feel?" He asked, hidding the holy water in his pocket.

Kurai forced himself to nod. Dr. Shinkō grinned, clapping his hands together. "Wonderful! You are one of the most successful creatures we have had at destruction so far! Maybe you are useful, Shade. Maybe if you obey us, you might get a reward. Speaking of which, we want you to meet your new sparring partner. You two seem evenly matched, and you have met her before. Turn back to a human shape and we can go now."

Haru blinked, her eyes fadding normal again. "I feel alright...." She muttered and felt her heart thud at the scent of holy water. "Good, in that case, I'd like you to meet someone special~" He chimmed and offered her a hand, she refused it, smelling holy water on his palm and stood on her own.

Kurai followed his jailer, wandering into a near room where he stopped. Haru stood there, glancing at him. What kind of a coincidence was this? He had to fight the demon he started talking to? Fate could be so cruel and kind sometimes, in its own sick way. Another doctor stood beside her, worrying about the experiment in general.

Haru looked at Dr. Ochiru in disbelife. "You're kidding...right?" She said, her voice a hiss. He shook his head and shoved her in the large condemed room. "Nope, I don't kid around like you do." He said simply and shut the door, waving a hand for the jailer to bring over Kurai.

Kurai bared his fangs as Dr. Shinkō tried to shove him forwards, into the dark room. "What the h*ll do you want us to do?" Kurai snapped, holding his head high. he allowed himself to be forced to enter the room. They will pay for everything one day, Kurai promised himself, looking over at Haru.

"Simple Kuria. You two were the two best test subjects so, we want to see who's better by making you two fight." Dr. Ochiru said and smirked slyly, shutting the door away. Haru blinked, feeling shock and hate spirle through her system. She walked over and threw a fist in the door, leaving a dent where her fist had been.

"Kuria? Thats a girls name!" Yelled Kurai through the door. "And I'm not in the mood right now, you failure of a human!" He rolled his eyes, his shape flickering as his eyes turned black with annoyance. "Idiots."
