::Melissa::

Melissa grumbled loudly, standing up and walking around the room. She stepped over to a window, one that outlooked the outskirts of the Grid. Mel slammed her fist into the glass, resting her head on its cool surface. She didnt want to be stuck here. "I cant take this right now.." she whispered, storming off into another room.

::Johnathan::

John seemed to be the most accepting of the four of them. "Well, Kane, did anyone in your family say anything about the time difference? If we stay here, and learn to protect ourselves, we will be more able to fight our way there and get to the portal. We dont even have to stay a whole cycle, do we? Just as long as absolutely necessary. You have to agree, we cannot go now, not the way we currently are.." he said, his voice tired. "Maybe we should think it through for the night." John suggested.

:Kane:

"Just SHUT UP John! Just because you have nothing to go back to, doesn't mean you have to keep the rest of us trapped here." he grumbled standing up and moving after Melissa into the other room.

:Alyssa:

She just tried to ignore Kane's words, but it got to her. Deeply. "You don't know crap Kane!" she called after him, her whole body tensing in anger.

:Quinn:

He just sighed, his head drooping. "I really thought we had a chance....that you all returning would save us from this Tyranny. But I guess that's too much to ask isn't it. I can't do anything right." Quinn said, gripping his head in his hands.

::Melissa::

Melissa paced back and forth in the room, head low eyes closed. She was fumininside, but kept a cool outer demenior. She heardKane's outrage, pausing when she heard his footsteps behind her. "Part of what he said is right. We are in no condition to go back now.." Melissa whispered, walking to the nearest wall. She pressed her back aginst it, slowly sliding down to the floor with her head in her hands. "I want to go home, desperately, but what choice do we have now? I dont want to risk dying here, then I wont even make it home...I want a chance, but when it is in our favor.." Mel said softly. Painfully, as a lone tear fell from her eye.

::Johnathan::

John sat watching as Kane too stormed out. He balled his hands into fists, flexing his knuckles angrily. "There is always a choice. Two sides to a story." he said, looking at Quinn. "Did you ever think we were brought here for a reason, Alyssa? To help them. How can we leave that, for our own selfish deeds. Sure, I want to go home, but only when the time is right. Until then, I will stay."

:Kane:

"But I don't want to wait around. Didn't you hear what he said? That I am the key to the destruction or the safety of both worlds. That's a hell of a lot of responsibility. I just want to go home." He said sitting down now before sprawling out on the floor.

:Alyssa:

She nodded, "where ever you are, I'll be....and it's the right thing to do. We can't just leave them." she paused looking at Quinn. "How long have you been here? I mean, waiting for us?" though she couldnt imagine the answer.

:Quinn:

He looked up, "For about eighty-seven cycles. But I look like I'm twenty. I was created that old. And ill stay that way forever...at least. In here." He said rising to his feet. "It's been enough excitement for one day. I'll see you all in the morning." Quinn said, walking off into another part of the building and walking into a room, the door sliding shut.

::Melissa::

Mel sighed deeply. "There is no one way to go about this Kane..Either we stay and learn, or go and risk dying. Besides, you dont know any secrets, do you? If not, nothing to worry about." she offered, thinking of any and all posibilities. "Kane...I am scared..okay? Seriously scared. My mind is turning a million times and I am so confused and tired...Lets just stay the night, please?" Melissa pleaded, her face sad. "Look at me, and tell me you will stay with me..."

::Johnathan::

John stretched his legs out, looking around absentmindedly. "That is alot of time waiting.." he observed, though not knowng for sure. He couldnt sleep now, with everything they had learned. "Melissa and Kane have to stay....Its life or death for all of us"

:Kane:

Kane sighed deeply, his eyes flickering over to her. "I'm sorry Melissa. I'm a little afraid myself....I just...I mean, the portal isn't far away. All we have to do is reach it....and we go home. It's only a few minutes drive. That's all...."


:Alyssa:

She nodded, "If they leave, not only will all the programs fall...but we might never get back." she said softly, her hand holding his. "We should sleep." she said, though she too wasn't feeling as tired as she had felt before.

::Melissa::

Mel's face turned dark, and she looked away. "Well, I am not leaving tonight. I cant. I am tired, have a temper, and am not feeling well anyway. So if you want to go, you are going alone..." she muttered, crossing her arms ontop of her knees. She didnt want him to go, without her and the others. She didnt want to be left alone. If he went, they would probably be left here, forever. It was his choice.

::Johnathan::

"You can go ahead, I am not really tired now.." John replied, looking off out the window. He could only barely see the bright lights of the innermost Grid. This place sure held many secrets, and he wanted to think about everything before deciding what to do in the future.

:Kane:

He stood up, a little angry she wasn't on the same boat as he as far as opinions were concerned. "Goodnight." he said sharply before exiting the room and finding an empty one and hiding himself inside it. He sat down on the edge of the bed, staring at the wall before him with disinterest.

:Alyssa:

Alyssa nodded. "Goodnight..." she said softly, before silently leaving the room and making her way through one of the doorways. Her eyes fell upon a bed, and she smiled. Something that was familiar at last. She took off her disk and placed it on the table before crawling underneath the sheets. Even though she wasn't all that tired, slipped into sleep within minutes.

::Melissa::

Melissa didnt even turn her head to watch Kane go. She sat in the quiet room for a long time, motionless. She was alone again, as she had always been her whole life. Maybe it was best that way, being alone. She didnt have to hide herself there, from others. Melissa was tearing up, wiping her hands forcefully over her eyes. She stood up, walking through the door and slaming it behind her. Mel walked around the corner, looking out to a small deck. She walked outside, leaning her elbows on the ledge.

::Johnathan::

"Night.." John said quietly, shuffling his feet as he got up. He found the last of the empty rooms, closing the door softly behind him. John sat indian style on the bed, trying to think of a logical solution. There was none...

:Kane:

He flopped back, cupping his face in his hands angrily. Why were they just sitting here! The idea just infuriated him furthur. They could be home, driving in the sopping rain, maybe even arrested by the police. At this point he didn't care. Anywhere was better then here.

:Alyssa:
