Kelpsong's eyes flickered up to Frostpool, and a gentle smile crossed her face. She was a warm-hearted she-cat who liked and was liked by every cat, and for that as well as her vast knowledge of herbs, she was the perfect Medicine cat... if not a bit young. Her eyes flickered around but she was uncertain of where her apprentice was so she nodded. "Actually, I was just about to run out and look for some more herbs and I'd love the company... and if I'm being honest the help. I could use an extra mouth to carry them back!" She purred, flicking Frostpool's ear with the tip of her snow white tail.

Stormpaw sighed as he heard murmers back at camp. Every cat was waking up now, of course. But duties were duties. "I'll try as hard as I can to earn my medicine cat name.." He muttered, not daring to call it a warrior name. He would never be a warrior, nor have a mate. Not like he even wished to. The tom snorted. He'd bring back some Burdock root to put in storage, any maybe something else. Whatever he found first would do.

Frostpool blinked, then smiled back at Kelpsong. She padded out of camp with the medicine cat. "So, what are we looking for?" she asked, staring at each of the ferns as they walked by and wondering if it could be an herb. She paused and then walked over to a dark-leaved bush, blooming with red berries. "Do you know what these are?" She reached down to pluck off one of the berries.

Mossfire walked towards Pollygaze, seeing the bored look on her face (lets just assume). "Thenything wrung?" he asked, licking his shoulder as he talked. He stopped, realizing she might not understand him, and repeated, "Anything wrong, Pollygaze?"

Whitelick smiled and batted back the toy at Lilypaw, "O-Oh, alright," she said kindly. She didn't want to distract the apprentice from her duties though, but figured a bit of play wouldn't hurt.

"NO!" Kelpsong sprang forward and nudged the other she-cat sharply away from the bush, eyes wild. "Frostpool, don't EVER touch those berries. We call them Deathberries and they'll poison you in an instant if you eat them!" She said, studying the she-cat's paws to make sure none of the deadly juice had gotten on them. She brushed the remainders of the berries under the bush with her tail, beginning to relax. "Sorry, I paniced."

Whitelick

Whitelick heard Kelpsong shout, and her ear twitched. Was anything wrong? She asked herself, she wanted to check it out, but was afraid she'd get shy again. A small sigh escaped from her as she kept batting the toy back, sometimes she felt useless.

Pollygaze flicked her bellowing tail to and fro. Her eyes were dull and her expression pointless. She tried to smile at the tom, but failed. "No, of course not. Just not sure what to do..." She shook her head in anger as her stomach growled. She was starving herself again, and hunger was only tearing at her pain. Her last sibling had just died, and she was full of regret.

Glancing nervously at the berries, Frostpool nodded. "No, I'm sorry. You may have just saved my life." Edging away from the bush, she tried to change the subject. "Now, what were we looking for again?" The grey tabby she-cat trotted on, not sure where they were going.

Seeing the hurt in Pollygaze's expression, Mossfire refrained from asking what it was about and instead commented on her growling stomach. "Wanna get something to eat? Or if you haven't hunted yet, then you can come with me. I just went out, but I have enough energy to go again."

Stormpaw, tail high, stalked off into the small forest at the edge of their territory. The scents of the forest filled his scent glands as he traversed deeper and deeper. "Now, what should I look for first.." He muttered, basicly to himself. Not that there was anyone around either way. Deciding to find that burdock root in case of infections, he began looking at multiple plants. The dark-stemmed plant was nowhere to be found. Then, remembering that it had a sharp scent, he began to use his nose. The scent hit him like a monster, it smelled somewhat gross but minty to him. The tom began to follow the scent.
