There were two towns who had never clashed, and in fact, had never even had any of their people meet.

Two boys, one Neko, one Inu, both sons of mayors, met while they were out. Sparks flew; they grew confused...
They continued to meet each other in secret, keeping themselves hidden.
But the Neko was betrothed to a woman he had no feelings for.

What will they do? Will they run and hide, or profess their love for each other to their parents?
Well, let's find out.

"Father, just calm down!" He screamed back into the door, his floppy black ears pushed back, his tail held high in pride as he burst out of the house. He slammed the large door behind him, growling under his breath, starting to jog. He didn't want to be followed, so he just decided to run instead, making sure that he was far from the house before actually slowing down and looking around where he ended up. He panted lightly, stretching his purple sweatered arms above his head and sighing. He was right on the border of those nekos.. Hm. It was nice here.

Andras walked down the stairs, his hands fixed behind his head, as he was tying his ete patch on. He looked to his father as he entered the room, and slowly greatly at the serious atmosphere. " Yes, Father? " he queried, just as his gaze fell on a young woman who seemed to be wearing a fancy dress. " Andras, this is Amanda,her parents and I have come to the agreement that you two should marry. And you will. " Crest was absolutely his face was a mask of horror. He couldn't even speak for two whole minutes. When he did, it was because the girl moved, standing and and walking towards him. " No. " he fumed, " I will not. " And with that, he turned on them, walking out the door. Once outside, he closed the doors easily, as it seemed the girl's parents were just outside. Paying them no mind, he took off at a sprint, away from his house and the town. His light tan pointed ears were pinned back with rage. Marry her? Why would I do that? he fumed in the thoughts, slamming his fist into a nearby tree, intantly regretting it. " Ouch!! " he cried, looking at his hand, somewhat pleased to find it wasn't bleeding. It took him about a minute to realize he was near the town border, and that he wasn't alone.

Howl smelled the neko before he saw him. He just stood there, ears as perked as they could get, listening. The sharp, metallic twinge of blood creeped into his nostrils before he actually looked at the creature. As Howl stood with his legs partially apart and hands balled into fists, just in case, he took in the sight before him. A slim male with pointed, tan ears that twitched down on the side of his head. Well, that gave the Inu something. The boy was almost as upset as himself.. Anyways, from what his okay night-sight could see, the neko also had red eye...? Ah, he was wearing an eyepatch. And from what I can see... He's quite attrac-
Howl shook his head in a dog-like manor, dismissing the odd thought that popped into his head as he kept staring. "Who're you?" He asked in a forceful tone. He was wary of the cat, the two species didn't really have a good rap.

Andras whirled to face the Inu, paling instantly. He swallowed, letting his red gaze slide over the dog - boy momentarily. Cute... in a strange, girl-ish way... He thought, his gaze swiftly landing back on the other male's face as he spoke. " Andras Cresil, " he replied, and then queried, " And now I pose the same question. " His gaze flickered to the boy's hands, noticing that they were clenched into fists. he raised his hand, wiping his blood from his own knuckles with the sleeve of his black V-neck long sleeved shirt, which had holes on the insides of the too-long sleeves, where his thumbs stuck out.
