It was late the next morning when Dain woke up again.

Ember was laying at the bottom of the stairs again, half asleep.

Bill almost tripped over Ember. "Woah..." He stepped over him as best he could and went to get breakfast.

Friesia looked at Dain. She hadn't let go of his hand, nor had she gotten any sleep that night. "Hey, you're awake. Feeling any better?"

Ember pricked his ears and saw Bill. He sturggled to his feet and followed him into the kitchen.

Friesia looked concerned. "I wish I could help you Dain..."

Bill's back was turned to Ember, he was busy making breakfast. "Good morning Ember."

Dain sighed and curled up into a ball. He just wanted some quiet. "Don't you have your catto see to?"

"mornin'..." Ember sat by his food bowl.

Friesia let go of his hand, a bit hurt. "Yeah. I... I'll go." She disappeared.

Bill put some food in Ember's bowl and ate his own breakfast.
