"All horsemen are immortal, in short, you can't die without my say so, littereally. In the past, we used to have dogs and wolves and make them horsemen, but then the Animal Welfare Act 2006 was put in place..." Dain explained. "Even retired horsemen are still immortal and can't die, as Flame is living proof of that. A true horseman must have a kind and honest heard and a pure soul, all of which you have. Your the first human in 2000 years to be fully pure, now that's something to be proud of." Dain smiled.

Bill was still a bit bewildered. "Flame...? You're a... a..." he searched for the right word, "a Horseman? A retired one?"

The cat facepalmed. Excellent choice, Dain. This guy's an idiot...

Ember sighed sadly, he knew his happy life would end, why would Bill want him now? "Yeah..." He said quietly.

"before you freak out, all animals can talk." Dain prmoted, "it's because humans freak out that they never talk around humans."

"...Ah." After becoming immortal, learning animals could talk wasn't much of a shock to Bill. He took a deep breath. "So... you're wanting me to become immortal... What is it exactly that you want me to do?"

"Your Ember's....or should I say Flame's replacment." Dain shrugged. "In the mordern day, war isn't such a big thing anymore, so you probably got it easier than the rest of us." Dain smiled. He was already immortal thanks to Dain's handy work, now there was a matter of training...

Bill was silent for a bit, taking it all in. "You mentioned training..." he said slowly.

"well, we can do it the mega easy way and get it over with quickly, or the slow and time wasting way...up to you?" Dain shrugged. Ember licked Bill's hand lightly.

"Um, easy way... I guess." Bill stroked Ember softly, trying to get used to everything at once.

"This'll hurt....alot..." Dain put his hands on Bill's face and closed his eyes. All the skills, knowlage and power of the War horseman shot through Bill's body like lightening.
