Friesia lay her head on Dain's shoulder. Just forget about it... What's done is done, there's nothing you can do to change it. Dain's here, and he doesn't look like he's going to leave anytime soon, so just be grateful for that...

The cat shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe there's something wrong with you."

"What's that suppost to mean!?!" Ember snarled.

The cat shrugged. "Whatever you want it to mean."

Ember snarled and bit the cat hard, not letting go.

The cat screwed his eyes shut in pain, but didn't say anything. After a while, he went limp...

Ember let the cat go.....he didn't know if he had killed it...he had blood over his mouth and he tried to clean it off before they reached the pound...

The cat lay where Ember had dropped him, covered in his own blood. He was still breathing, but just barely.

Ember cowered in a corner, whimpering. He tried to his in a corner as they pulled up at the pound.

Bill stopped the truck at the pound and opened the back. He got all the pets out, then saw Ember and the cat. He carefully pulled the small cat out of the truck and took him to the intensive care room. As Bill walked away, the cat opened his eyes and flashed an evil grin at Ember.
