Friesia looked at the sky, it was starting to grow dark. "Guess we better get home."

Bill looked at the clock. "Well, it's time to get goin'." He closed the pound and got in the truck, letting Ember into the back this time.

Dain looked down at her, "Alright..."

Ember plodded into the back of the truck and laid down.

Friesia suddenly had an idea. "But I don't think it'd hurt if we took a detour through the park...?" she suggested.

Bill smiled at Ember and drove home, letting Ember inside and getting him some food before making himself something to eat.

"why not?" Dain smiled.

Ember wolfed down his food quickly then spent a while staring at Bill for some of his food, a typical even routine...

Friesia gave a small smile and nodded. "Okay."

Bill chuckled. "If I give you any more food, you're going to be too big for the house!" He gave Ember a few bites anyway.

Dain looped his arm in hers and walked her to the park.

Ember munched happily on the food, wagging his tail.

Friesia walked beside Dain, feeling the happiest she had been since Ember left.

Bill shook his head. "Oh well."

Christopher finished eating his dinner and looked at the kittens.

Ember laid by Bill's feet happily.

Dain enjoyed the moment, it was peacful and happy for the first time in weeks.

The kittnes looked back at Christopher.

Bill smiled at Ember and began petting him. "You know Flame, you've made me so much happier than I used ta be..."

Friesia enjoyed being with Dain, she actually managed to temporarily forget about Ember. She walked with him slowly, trying to make the moment last.

Christopher grinned. "So, now what do you guys want to do?"
