Apart from lunch and doing tricks for dog treats, Ember spent most of the day sleeping.

Dain sat in the kitchen with his coffee,reading the papers.

Bill helped the few people that did come in, whether it was getting a new pet or re-claiming an old one.

Friesia sighed. She thought it was too quiet without Ember, even if most of what he said was about being hungry...

Dain was getting more worried by the day. Since he'd pretty much moved in, she'd been treating him like Ember and he was starting to feel ill from all the snaks and over-sized portions of food...

Ember woke up again and looked at Bill.

Bill looked down at Ember. "Hey Flame, anything ya need?"

I wonder if Dain's hungry... Friesia shook her head quickly. No, you idiot! This is Dain we're talking about, not Ember...

Dain felt so tired...he'd been trying to cheer Friesiaup for ages, but nothing worked...

Ember put his head on Bill's lap and just looked at him with big puppy eyes.

"What?" Bill looked at Ember blankly, still not getting it.

Friesia looked down. Dain tried to help, and she really did appreciate it, but...

Ember flopped his ears about and wagged his tail, just wanting attenchion....

Dain sipped his coffee, keeping himself awake...

Bill smiled. "Oh, alright." He pet Ember while he waited for another customer.

Friesia walked into the kitchen and sat next to Dain. She was a lot skinnier than she used to be, and her eyes had lost some of their sparkle, but she still looked like herself. She gave him a small smile. "Good morning."

Ember sat there happily.

Dain looked at her. "You gotta stop doing this to yourself..." He sighed, it was upsetting him to see her like this. He wanted to help take her mind off Ember for a while. "I'm going out to buy new cloths..." He shrugged, size Small cloths didn't fit him anymore. "Wanna come?"

Bill had to get up a couple times when someone walked in, but every time he came back and continued petting Ember.

Friesia never understood why Dain said that, she wasn't purposefully doing anything to herself. She shrugged and nodded. "Sure."
