Ember snifed around for a bit then looked at the man, wagging his tail.

Dain held her close...

Friesia closed her eyes and hugged Dain, crying softly. "I miss him... I hope he's alright..."

The man's smile grew broader. "Thought you might like it. Well, I guess you need a place to sleep. Do you want to share a room with me, sleep in the living room, or have the guest room all to yourself?"

Dain sighed wuietly. "Let's go home..."

Ember looked at him, he really didn't mind much...

Friesia nodded. She was exhausted, and it didn't look like they were going to find Ember today.

The man shrugged. "Well, I guess just sleep wherever you feel like it. Are you hungry?"

Dain took er home sadly.

Ember yipped happily and wagged his tail.

The man chuckled. "I'll take that as a yes." He went into the kitchen and pulled out a container with some leftover hamburger patties. "This is just a little treat, I'm going to get some dog food tomorrow."

Friesia walked home with Dain, looking defeated. Ember... where are you?

Ember hungrilly wolfed down the food happily. When he was finnished, he yawned tiredly, he hadn't slept last night....

Dain took her home and left for work.

"Tired already? Well, I don't have a dog bed, so you can just curl up on the couch for now." The man showed Ember into the living room.

Friesia sighed. "Well... now what?"

Ember struggled onto the sofa.

Dain felt awful for her...

The man chuckled a bit. "Heh, you're awfully big... but no matter, we'll make things work." He smiled and ruffled Ember's head fur.

Friesia went into her library. Well, guess I better brush up on my studies since I don't have to take care of anyone...
