Ember didn't move, he laid with his back to Christopher.

Christopher sighed. "Alright, be that way if you want. I don't care." He pulled out a newspaper and began to read.

Ember looked at him the lowered his head. He got up and went upstairsto keep out the way. He laid on Friesia's bed and quietly whimpered.

Christopher shook his head. Good job, idiot. You're supposed to be keeping the dog company, not making him feel bad about himself!

Ember laid there, everyone always said the same thing to him. No one could just accept him for who he was...he crept back down stairs and looked around for Christopher. Seeing he wasn't looking, Ember left out the dog flap and didn't look back. If all he did was get in everyone's way, there was no point staying...it was like every other home he'd had...

Ember walked down the street with his head low. He was cold, tired, out of breath and lonely. He slipped into an ally way and laid behind some trash cans, whimpering.

Christopher searched the entire castle, but couldn't find Ember anywhere. "Oh no, I'm such a horrible person..." Christopher grabbed his jacket and ran outside. If Friesia sees me, I'm dead...

Friesia noticed a familiar black fluffball in the alleyway. She left the bakery, confused as to why Ember was hiding in an alley. "Ember...?"

"go away..." Ember whimpered and turned his back on her, he was very upset...

Friesia, hurt, backed away. She turned and left, not really sure of where she was going.

Christopher ran through the city. He still couldn't find Ember.
