Ember looked at them, trying to look like it wasn't his fault.

The cat hissed at him. He saw that she had kittens, but it was unclear where they'd come from.

Friesia rolled her eyes again. "Oh please, like you're totally innocent," she said with a laugh.

Christopher backed off. "I'll just leave you alone then..." he said, a bit hurt. He still considered her his friend, even though she had attacked Dain.

Ember sighed.

The cat licked her kittens. "I'm sorry..." She sighed.

Friesia pet Ember's head.

Christopher looked at Cat. "It's alright. Why are you so upset?"

"Jesu took them...he would kill them if I didn't do it." She cried, holding her kittens close.

Christopher gave her a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry... Are they... his?"

She shook her head

Christopher walked over to her and the kittens. "Are they yours?"

She nodded, looking at the six kittens.

Christopher looked at them. "Well, I think they're lovely. May I...?" he asked, wondering if he could pick one up. He didn't ask who the father was, he knew it wasn't his business.
