Friesia healed Christopher and looked at him worriedly. "What got at you Chris? You looked like you got mauled by a tiger or something."

Christopher sat up. "I ah, got jumped," he said. It's somewhat true...

"who by?" Ember asked.

Friesia looked at Christopher curiously. "Yes, who?"

Christopher looked nervously from Ember to Friesia. Man, I can't lie to my sis, but if she knows who did it, she'll be so upset...

"who was it?" Ember asked again.

"I don't know," Christopher said after a bit. "I didn't see."

Friesia shook her head. "You didn't see? Hm. Probably just an everyday theif..."

"Then why do you have Dain's smell on you?" Ember asked him. "By the smell of it, he was pretty fired up."

Friesia looked aghast. "You and Dain were fighting?! Did you do the same to him?" She paused for a moment. "How could you lie to me?" She ran off to find Dain, hurt and upset.

Christopher gave Ember an exasperated look. "You see why I didn't tell her?"

"It would've been even worse f you'd lied to her then spragged on by Dain." He shrugged.

Christopher shook his head. Sometimes it can be better to lie... "You may be her best friend dude, but I'm still her older brother, and there are still things about Friesia that you don't know."

Friesia looked for Dain, worried that he'd be in the same state or worse... Why would Christopher lie to me? He's never done that before... has he?
