Friesia woke up with a shudder. It had been two weeks since their encounter with Jesu, and she was still having nightmares. Every night she re-lived Jesu's attack, except last night. Last night it had been Dain getting killed. She shook it off and went to check on Ember. He was usually a good comfort, even if he was asleep.

It was obvious to anyone Ember had been snaking. Since their run in with Jesu, his waist line had gotten bigger. He slept happily as if nothing was wrong.

Friesia sighed, noticing Ember's 'fluffiness.' She stroked him softly, wishing there was a way to make him... smaller.

Ember woke up and looked at her. He wagged his tail slightly.

"Hi Ember." Friesia gave him a small smile, still haunted by her nightmare.

[Corporate Cannibal]

"The nightmare again?" He asked.

[NightFlame22]

Friesia hugged him. "Yeah... But worse." She buried her face in his fur.

Friesia couldn't fit her arms around Ember anymore. He licked her cheek, trying to comfort her.

Friesia sighed. "Thanks Ember." She smiled a bit. "Well, I guess moping around isn't going to do anything about it. Let's get breakfast."

Ember could hardly scramble to his feet. When he did make it, he had to spread his paws out so he didn't trip up. His stomach dragged along the floor and put a lot of pressure on his back and legs.
