I shake my head and sigh softly "I don't know really... We just... Did..." I shake my was again and close my eyes. "But I feel I still need to keep that promise, even if he doesn't I want to."

She tucks a piece of hair behind her ear as she listens to him looking at him again Hun, who was he? she sits up sitting a little closer to him her face had a caring glow to it and her eyes were wide and gentle. Smiling warmly her at him she hoped he knew she was always going to be there for him no matter what.

Jace

"Just..." I shake my head a bit. "N-No one..." I lie softly and close my eyes, turning my head away from her. I didn't know what to tell her really, how to describe him.

[lady windle.]

{ Payton }

She looks at him softly her face fading to just a normal look that laid on it. Nipping her lip she reached out with her hand and touched his hand softly Jace, you know I am here for you no matter what. Right? her eyes looked over his face gently. Smiling again at him she didn't want him to talk about anything he didn't want too.

I nod a bit and look down at the sand "Yeah... I know..." I mutter softly and close my eyes again. "It was... He was just this guy... Named Mason." I sigh softly. "We had dated for a while but... Well his dad and my mom ended up getting married so we had to stop..." I shake my head. "We made this stupid promise to each other that we would learn how to swim together so... So we still felt connected..."

She looks at him again listening to what he said and her heart kind of fell down into her stomach JJ had never really talked her about anything that had to with his past relationship and although she had only dated 1 guy she knew that kind of thing was hard. She slipped her hand into his softly just to show he was there JJ, I'm really sorry. Where is he? I can teach you both how to swim? I don't want you to loose that connection with him and I know you don't want to loose it either which I understand. she looks at him again she could read his face and tell this was a touchy conversation.

"I don't... I don't know where he is..." I sigh softly and close my eyes tight, letting my bangs over my eyes. "I... I haven't seen him sence I can here..." I bite my lip and sigh again. Payton didn't know my past, she didn't even know I was a foster kid here in town, no one knew that. I just lied and said I was staying with my aunt tell something blew over at him.

She looks down at the ground listening to him she wanted to find this boy named Mason. Just from what she knew about Jace for now she knew he missed him. Nipping her lip she let out a small weak sigh Can I help? she looked up at him a small breeze from the ocean coming up onto the beach. Her eyes were soft but inside she wanted to help and she could tell he was hurting badly. Jace... If you don't know where he is. Do you know where your parents are? her voice was soft.

I shake my head "It's no use." I mutter and when she mentions my parents I flinch, get up, and just walk down the beach. I didn't want to talk about them, I never wanted to and Payton should know that.

She looks at him and watches as he gets up and walks away. Looking down at the blanket that he was sitting there. She shakes her head softly and sighs she knew why he got up and walked away but she also knew to just leave him be. Looking down at the water that was clear as the sky she closed her eyes taking in a deep breath of the warm ocean air.Standing up softly her hair whips around behind her as she walks toward the water her eyes still closed.
