Dib heard the firing, and jumped, stopping for a minute, wondering what she was trying to do. Was that his building or a different one that she was... What was she doing? He wasn't interested in waiting to see.
He was still on the first floor, and ran across to the opposite side he'd come in by, mildly panicked by the exploding, breaking noises, and easily vaulted through the broken window to take off running again.
Dib really hoped she wasn't waiting for him right outside.
