((Naaa....Just skipping ahead.))

Ten minutes later, Mur left the tent, now wearing a splatter of blood and purple eye-shadow. The fat lady tried to put makeup on her, and thanks to the pig fat it contained, she could not remove it for a long time.

"dammit..." She grumbled, still trying to rub the makeup off. Well, the invisible thing wasn't there. She needed to check somewhere else.

((Dib: *trying not to laugh at smeared make-up*))

It had been a long enough time for the human to more then calm down. He'd waited by the door with the wooden leg of a chair and a knife, for five minutes. Nothing came. By now, he was sitting in a chair, one NOT missing any legs, wondering if he was home-free and unpursued. Maybe he lost the alien? Somehow that seemed almost disappointing.
On glancing up, Dib was pleasantly surprised to see a little fishbowl with a goldfish in it, the little thing stareing at him from across the room, on a counter.
Dib was in desperate need of someone to talk to, and perhaps not entirely in his right mind.
"Hi, I'm Dib. What's your name?" He couldn't understand fish languege, in any way, even if they could talk.... But he thought he could....Because... Well... Maybe he hit his head one too many times.

Mur stuck her antenna straight up, watching a group of nearby buildings. Those seemed the best bet to find the human, since they provided lots of cover and a confusing landscape for a new person to this planet, like her. She grinned and scurried into a door-less entrance, sniffing out the human and following its trail as carefully as possible.

Dib was busy apologizing to the fish for having to stay invisible and not show himself while they talked, but there was an alien trying to kill him, and surely the fish could understand-
Dib suddenly shut himself up. Did he hear something? Downstairs? Did it follow him? Had it found him? HOLY CR**! Ten whole minutes and it hadn't given up?? What had he done??!
He was on his feet in a second, looking left and right, desperately trying to figure out what to do.
If it was downstairs, he could slip out the window... Or he could wait to ambush it...
No, bad idea. It could find him too easily by scent.
"Sorry fish, I gotta go, bye." Opening the window, Dib looked out, wondering whether to climb up or down. After a moment's consideration, he sliped out and half-climbed/half-fell, into another small street and took off running.

Mur's antenna twitched as she heard something from above. She looked at the stairs (a primitive invention. What idiots!) and 'tasted' the air. Yep, it was definitely here. She could smell its terror. It was above her...

"HEY!" She shouted and stood up on her spider legs, scurrying up the stairs. It had nowhere to run now, unless it could somehow fly out the window...

Dib couldn't fly, but he had strong legs and could definitely climb, not to mention he was used to crashing into things; impact. He'd gotten down, climbing where he could, then falling feet-first, and shook off the pain. He was already off running down the street.
Sooner or later he'd need to give his power a rest, not to mention find some water, and food. It was mildly hot, and he was getting tired.

((Those people are nuts. It's just a freakin' word, they can even say it on TV! They can say everything except for f***, so why are people getting so worked up over words?))

Mur sprinted up the stairs and onto the ceiling, shooting the whole place until every inch had a hole in it. Nothing, "Aw COME ON!" She shouted and jumped through the one window. The scent was here, and so were small feet-prints on the ground. She followed the smells, still using her spider legs.

Dib was starting to pant as he ran down roads, turned corners, and just did his best to get away. How had it found him?? It must be able to track his scent! What would it take to make the alien give up?? From a small distance he could hear the lazers fire into the room he'd been in, and paused a moment, thinking of the poor innocent fish who must have been killed. He'd avenge that fishy.
He decided to head to another building that he knew, as if to hide, then evacuate that one, same trick he just used, frustrate the alien. She had to leave him alone sooner or later. Maybe he could find something to hide his scent or set a trap.

The second Mur smelled the thing running for another building, she grew suspicious. It was obviously going to try the same tactic, and she would lose more ground if she reacted the same. This time, she stopped and waited for it to find a spot to hide, then started firing force fields at the base of the nearest building. Why bother exploring if you can destroy?
