"Oh no you aren't." Dib shot back, getting over the top and dropping on the other side, setting off at a run. He wasn't almost-out as far as energy went.... But he really did need some sleep and water and carbs soon, maybe proteins and sugars too... And who knew what else. He'd go for anything he found though. He just needed some energy input, and a chance to rest his power, within five to ten minutes or his guise would begin to flicker, then it would be gone.

Mur cursed, not even bothering to try and followed Dib. With this unconscious dog, she couldn't even think of chasing him. She sighed and stepped under the shade of a tree and slumped over, just sitting there, mulling over what to do.

Dib ran strait for a building he knew well, and headed up the stairs, into the kitchen. He stopped, standing very still in the middle of the room for a moment, all senses on high alert, waiting to find out if anyone was around. After hearing nothing for more then a minute, Dib relaxed. The bent light flowed around him like a garment slipping off to the floor, and he stopped using his power. He was safe here.
Humming to himself, Dib opened a cupboard and took out a can of soup, then looked around for a can opener... or a knife or hammer, whatever would work.
He stopped dead and almost dropped his can when he saw a goldfish in a fishbowl, stareing at him from across the room. This was not the building Mur had destroyed with lazers.... But he could swear that was the exact same fish.

Mur typed something on a small robot arm, summoning her ship. She stood and tugged on the dog's leash, trying to wake it as the giant piggy flew down from the sky and levitated in front of her. She stuffed the dog inside it, then climbed on and flew back to her ship. Later she would track down Dib, but now she could set up base and test on the dog.

Dib walked over slowly, then gathered enough courage to poke at the bowl.
"Fish? Issat you?"
...
"FISH! YOU'RE ALIVE! I THOUGHT SHE KILLED YOU!"
Dib hugged the fishbowl, accidentaly jostling it so some water spilled out.
"Oh, and don't be mad at her for that, she probably didn't know you were there. I talked to her. She's... kindof a nice person. She didn't try to steal my clothes or eat me anyway....
He stopped hugging the fishbowl and looked up at the cieling, smiling for the first in a long time.
"Her name is 'Mur', like that nice incence.... And you know, most people think aliens would be hideous... But she really wasnt. By some standards she might even be considered kinda pretty. I did like her eyes a lot. I've never seen anything with eyes like that. They weren't exactly like a bugs... It's so hard to explain..."
Dib giggled a little, then looking around, saw the can of soup.
"Oh, right, I was gunna open that...."
Dib pulled out every drawer and emptied them all out on the floor before he found a suitable knife to cut the can open with.

Once they reached the ship, Mur pulled out a small drill with a holographic screen on it. She drew an abandoned building; half of the walls crumbled, some artificial weeds growing on it, and tossed the drill into the ground. Just like every other Insta-Base's, the building materialized, made entirely out of cloth and laserbeams.

"Welcome home, doggie!" The alien chirped and attached the dog's chain to a small hook in one of the walls. The dog opened an eye, but didn't budge from its spot sleeping next to the floating pig.

((Dib: *happily carries fishy around in a jar*))

Dib had managed to cut himself, and now had a random strip of cleaned cloth wrapped around his left hand, soaking up his blood and turning red, but Dib HAD managed to open his can. He was happily drinking the soup withought any utensils, just tipping his head back and pouring some into his mouth. He hadn't spilled much, but occasionally some would drip down his chin and he'd wipe it off.
It was good stuff. He was lucky to have found it, there wasn't a lot of food like this left.

((Me: *glomps Dib and Fishie*))

Mur dug around in her underground base, fixing small things and adding little touches. Once she was done, she left and checked on the dog, "Hey, doggie! Eat this!" She said and tossed it a dead rat she found underground. The dog tore into it with the ferocity of any hunting animal, and she cackled evilly.

((Dib: *squeaks and huggs the jar tighter, putting a hand over the top so no water spills out*))

Dib had finished his soup, and even gotten a drink of water. He felt so much better, sooo much.
The alien seemed to truly not have followed him. He was glad of that. He REALLY wanted to see her again, later, though. Right now he was glad for the short little break.
"I think I'll go take a nap fishie..." Dib mumbled, before looking around the house for a bedroom.

Mur, of course, was not one to leave a specimen alone. She walked out of her house and skipped along toward the scent of the Dib-thing, whistling a song.
