-Its fine, ima skip ahead till the next day, before the games... Im tied and i have NO idea how to reply other than this way xD-
Skye hadn't seen Calcifer since the interviews... She stood there, in the elevator, heading down all the floors with her stylist who was giving her tips on what to do. She nodded and listened, him saying the mentor had told him to tell her all of this.
She felt her heart hammering in her chest, she was shaking, she felt like she might pass out from the fear. Her stylist quickly saw this and frowned at her. "Its okay sweetheart, just let out a deep breath... Just breath deep and think about your brother, me and everyone else here rooting for you..." He said comfortingly. She let out a sigh, but tears catching it in her throat, she forced herself not to cry.
Skye looked at him and latched onto him into a tight hug. She felt his arms around her and looked up at him. "I...I cant- Im not going to-," she started, but it came out in short shaky breaths. He stopped her, and frowned "No... You Can, okay? You will win this... If I could bet... I would literally lay everything down that i own on your side... Thats how confident I am in you..." He said seriously.
Skye had stopped hugging him and looked at him, a wide smile on her lips... She felt tears forming at her eyes... She latched onto him into a hug, and whispered him a quiet thank you. The elevator stopped, and the doors opened in just that second.
She felt as if as soon as the elevator had stopped so had her heart... She walked out into the room with her stylist holding her hand... She looked at him, shaking again as he put the jacket around her. She was trembling. He then put a silver key around her neck, it was on a black rope and zipped up the jacket, hiding it from anyone's sight... He then smiled at her.
"You are allowed to take a token into the arena, I know you dont watch, so I know you would know this.... This will be your token... Keep it safe, its your brothers...." He said smiling at her. "How-" Skye started, but was cut off once again.
"It was in your jacket... When you first came here, the camera's caught your brother slip it in there and I saw it on the television that night..." he said and the heard the voice say they had to get into their elevator in ten seconds...
Skye started trembling all over again, as she hugged him goodbye and he kissed her forehead, he wished her luck as she got in. She felt her heart sink and panic set in as it rose up... She looked around, feeling only ice cold air around her, there was snow on the ground...
Oh no.... Skye thought as the game-makers counted down... She saw a plain area, but at the end a huge mass of water... and on the other side, far from her an enourmous wooded area. 50... 49... 48... She looked around at the others...
She looked at Calcifer, and felt the urge to run to him... 42... 41... 40... She then realized what she would do... Run and get two book bags, then head to the woods, she knew from her mentor to NOT go to the cornucopia... No matter what she saw...
Something at that moment caught her eye.... Knifes... Tons, probably around Twenty in just one clear bag...28...27...26...25...24... She wanted it... She could win with it... She knew she could to... nobody
would stand in her way then... If she just had those knifes...
18...17...16...15...14...13...12...11... She had her plan now... Get the knifes, one bag and run...as fast as she possibly could..... Far Far away from the water... And the centre.... 5...4...3... She felt her heart pounding as she got ready. ...2...
Skye then heard it... 1.... and sprinted toward the knifes, the girl from District one running that way as well... She grabbed a bag on her way there, but made it to the knifes too late... The girl from one ca,e running at her and so Skye bolted away, getting knifes thrown at her.
Skye was small, she was quick... but she was NOT good with hearing. So when she heard a knife zoom past her she ran as fast as she possibly could away and into the woods, but not without being stabbed in the shoulder. She et out a yell and pulled the knife out, but kept running.
She ran as fast as she could through the woods, her lungs burning for air as the icy cold, bone dry air hit her lungs... This made things worse for her... She couldn't run as much as usual and would have to stop and rest before she got too deep into the woods....
Skye stopped after around Thirty minutes of straight forward running and collapsed. She laid on the ice cold, not yet covered snowy ground.... She knew, if the weather didnt warm up soon, she would die within two nights...
