Leita wasn't exactly sure where she was supposed to find a jacket at, but she grabbed the shoes she'd been wearing when she was brought here and slipped them over her feet. The shoes fit oddly around her bandaged food, but she'd manage. She didn't know why he thought she'd run off either, she couldn't navigate very well and she didn't know where she was. It hadn't been that bad here, so far at least. She probably wouldn't be able to sleep tomorrow either, but he didn't need to know that right now. She tiptoed out the door to her room before she remembered that he could most likely hear her anyways and there was no point in trying to sneak anywhere. Then she continued on normally, her Chuck Taylors quietly moving over the floor. Seeing Kerith leaning against the door, she shivered and goose bumps erupted on her arms. She couldn't be sure if it was because of his predatory air, or something else, but it seemed to be happening a lot. "I don't have a jacket." she pronounced, hunching her shoulders to try and hide her visible chill.

Kerith rolled his eyes when he heard her sneaking to her door, wondering if she knew he could hear her. He was slightly amused by that, an emotion he hadn't had in so many years it briefly confused him. He was just thinking about that when she announced she didn't have a jacket. He frowned faintly at that - since he had thought he had given her one earlier, but must've forgotten. He took off his own jacket and held it out to her. "Just wear mine." He said with a shrug, since he certainly didn't need it. "I'll get you a jacket and anything else you might need later. Until then, just borrow my jumpers and shirts if you need a shirt. My pants will be too large for you." He stated, opening the door. The chilly air immediately blew in, but he didn't feel the difference.

The crisp wind blew Leita's dark hair out of her face, and she had to take Kerith's jacket and quickly put it on. Her jaw was already beginning to clench to keep them from chattering and she hadn't even stepped outside yet. There was nothing she could do about her skirt for now, so she stepped outside ahead of Kerith, her arms tightening around her. "What are we going to do?" She asked after turning to look back at Kerith. Suddenly she whipped her head back around to the sky. The sun was setting beautifully, the sky a vibrant mix of oranges and pinks and purples, but it suddenly seemed like her body was made from ice. Very purposefully, she turned her back on it, hoping she could ignore the encroaching darkness for a bit longer.

Kerith shrugged, closing the door behind himself and starting to walk. "I'm not sure. Go for a walk, I suppose. There's a very pretty cave that we can go to." He said, looking over her. He didn't want her to freeze to death, but there wasn't anything he could offer her that would make any difference to her. "Yes, let's go there." He said, with an almost distracted tone, starting to lead her towards the forest. He knew this island inside out, since he had lived her for such a long time. Nobody else lived on the island, and they didn't even know it existed. "How cold are you?" He looked over her, a faint frown on his face. He wasn't cold at all, but he didn't like it when his humans were cold. They could get sick, which could lead to all sorts of problems he didn't want. He started to lead her into the forest without much thought, wondering if she would argue.

Leita skipped along behind him, happy enough to get out that she could ignore the lowering sun for now. "I'm not too cold. Is your skin cold?" She asked, jumping from leaf to leaf when she could. "How do you know about this cave?" She hadn't shown it much when she lived at her house, but she often behaved similar to a child. She could sober up immediately if she needed to, but it had been quite awhile since she'd been outside without an urgent purpose leading her. Suddenly, she decided to find out the temperature of his skin for herself, and grabbed his hand between his two smaller ones. It was cool to her touch, but nothing that would be intolerable. "It's nice." She said, her brown eyes watching his face for any sign that he wasn't happy with what she'd done.

Kerith looked down at her in surprise when she took his hand, thinking that she must've been pretty cold to have done that. "What's nice?" He asked in confusion, glancing around the forest to see if there was anything she should be careful of. "I found it when I was walking around." He said, not wanting to tell her the full story of how he'd found it. He'd been sulking, actually. But that didn't matter. He was sure that the girl would like it, since it was beautiful in there, not that he went in there often. He didn't have the time to. He shook his hand free of hers, putting his arm around her shoulders instead and pulling her closer. It was better then her holding his hand, since he could keep a hold of her.

Leita couldn't help a small grin, and she burrowed into Kerith's side as much as she could considering they were walking and she didn't want to be too obvious. "So what kind of cool vampire stuff can you do, if not burn alive in sunlight?" She was only half joking. She really did want to know, but she didn't really expect him to tell her. "Can you use magic to turn into a wolf?" She'd get through all of the myths she'd heard eventually, even if it took awhile. Didn't seem like she was going somewhere soon, or at least it wasn't someplace she needed to be prepared for. Which wasn't exactly comforting. Her hands shook a little, not from the cold so much as the nerves. Kerith made a pretty decent wind block, but he couldn't keep her from whatever fate lie in store for her. He probably didn't even want to. "Why are you showing me this cave?" She really wanted to know this one, but she was ready for him to blow it off.

Kerith decided to give her a little scare, so he said, "I prefer killing people in caves. So I can hide their body successfully." He didn't say anything for a couple of minutes before he added, "I'm joking. It's very beautiful in there, I wouldn't want to ruin that peace." He said with a quiet chuckle, surprising himself with his new emotions. "Cool vampire stuff? Well, I'm fast and strong.. No, no shape shifting.. That's about it, as far as I can recall." He answered, looking down at her and wondering why she enjoyed being so close to him. "My client is on holiday. The one that I took you for. He isn't coming back for a while, so you can stop worrying about that." He said, noticing the tremor of her hands. They had often been scared of that, so he assumed that was why she was shaking. There weren't many other ideas that came to mind.

"Oh." Was all she could say. She was relieved that she wouldn't become a snack for another vampire soon, but what was the point of catching her if the guy was away anyways? Not that she minded, really. "You said earlier my blood tasted different. How?" She'd been trying to imagine it for awhile, and the best she could come up with was a veggie burger versus a big juicy steak. She shivered a bit, but played it up a little so that she could dig her head into his side and close her eyes for a brief moment. It wasn't that he was that much warmer than the wind, he was just becoming an oddly solid source of comfort for her. It was really going to upset her when he handed her over to his client, she knew, but he had just said it was a ways off.

Kerith glanced up and around before quickly lifting her up, since the ground around her was dangerous. "Well.. Like eating different types of vegetables, I guess. I can't remember what vegetables taste like, so I'm assuming here.." He almosted stumbled over a rock and gave the rock a kick. It flew a while away, and he kept his eyes on the ground. "Why are you so curious anyway?" He asked as he gently set her down in front of a staircase made of rocks that went down to the entrance of the cave. "You have to be careful around here. Sometimes the tide comes in and floods the cave, but I made an emergency exit in case that happened." He explained, not sure why he was explaining to her.
