Lightningstar motioned for everyone to go into his den. "I will be back." He said. Without another word he bolted toward dead Redfur's body. He grabbed it by the scruff and ran back. He placed it in the middle of his den. He sat down.

Rainingheart's eyes widened as she saw the rust-colored body.

For once, Darkfire shut up.

Shadeflame looked at Redfur in disbelief.

Goldenheart didn't even blink for a while. Her eyes were clear and expressionless. She was right. She had known what he was going to bring up. She just looked down at Redfur's body and sighed. Of course, this wasn't a surprise for her, she'd seen his body already. It just made her feel sad still. She took in a slow breath and turned to the warriors. "Someone murdered Redfur. Lighteningstar found his body lying along the border with Mistclan with a silver cat's fur caught in his claws. So clearly he fought before whoever it was killed him," she explained quietly.

Lightningstar watched the other cats' reactions closely. "I have chosen you- this small group of cats, because I trust you the most." His eyes held grief. "Redfur was a great warrior, Starclan honors his bravery and strength. If anyone knows anything- please tell me." He nodded at Goldenheart. "Whoever killed him has done it in cold blood." He bared his teeth in anger. "And they have broken the warrior code by doing this. They must be punished, but it is not our place. We will let starclan deal with this."

Rainingheart was leaning on Shadeflame, but she didn't even notice. Redfur was one of her closest friends before this. She considered him a brother.

Goldenheart listened silently after she spoke. She nodded gravely. "We need to tell the rest of the clan...They'll want to pay their respects, and probably want to know what happened," she pointed out wisely.

Shadeflame looked at Darkfire, who looked sad. Redfur was one of the few cats who could get on her good side.

Lightningstar nodded. "Darkfire, please carry Redfur's body out into the open." He walked out of his den and to the highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the highrock for a clan meeting." He yowled, probably waking everyone up. He waited.

Darkfire did as she was told.

Lightningstar watched as Maher and some others walked out of the warrior den. He narrowed his eyes in grief.

Goldenheart waited for Lighteningstar to leave first before standing. She sighed, staring at the ground for a few moments. She blinked and looked back up slowly, glancing at Shadeflame. She laid her tail on his flank and Darkfire's as well before padding out after Lighteningstar. She sat down near the Highrock, taking her place.
