Jay nodded. "I had enough power back when I was human. I don't want it anymore. I can't want it anymore." He wrinkled his nose and ran a hand though his hair. He could remember that last night well. The rally, the disastrous battle, and that last scream of pain he and his uncle shared with his uncles teeth latched firmly around his neck and a stake plunged into his uncles heart.
Clare looked down, then sighed and closed her eyes, her lips pressed into a firm line. "Getting one of them is impossible, let alone all of them. You're better off finding strategies to pull as many innocent people out and save them. Find a new land and go from there. This will only lead to death and the end of your dynasty." She sighed.
