James walked from his tent and went to find someone to talk to. He senced that Lexis was near so he went to find her, even thought he had a feeling she was very close.

Drake Smiled at the trade off and took the book out of her hand letting her take his bow and sheath of arrows. He looked at the pictures that Jessica had drawn stopping to examine each of them. He smiled very amused by the picture of himself with the birds in his hand.

"Its not very good. I'm terriblely horrible at drawing." Jessica said as she tried to hold the bow and arrow.

Drake couldn't stop his smiling. "No,no it's good, It looks great." He said then shoved the birds in a game bag. He placed the book where it couldn't get ruined and then walked over next to Jessica. He put one hand on the bow his fingers grazing hers and then one on her shoulder. "Here Relax your arm, and then like this." He said lightly nudging her fingers into position.

"Like this?" Jessica asked as she did as he was telling her to do it. She was very interested in being an archer rather a healer.

Drake nodded "Yeah perfect, and then you just raise it up." He took a step closer to her an took her other hand putting it on the string one finger above the notched arrow and two under it. "And pull the string back. Take your aim. Then let it fly" He said and then stepped away allowing her room to do so.

"Okay." Jessica said as she pulled the bow back and seen her target. A small goose flying over head. She took in a breath and amied. She then let the arrow fly and watched as she goose fell with a splash into the water. "I did it!" Jessica squealed.

Jay shook his head. "No, no, no. I'm not in that kind of pickle. We're not talking pickles of death here." He grumbled, eying the girl in the tree from his spot next to the fallen deer.

Clare smirked for a split second. "Unfortunately I'm not good with time traveling or fire. Otherwise I would help you out." She sighed. "Bad joke. Really bad joke." She chuckled.

Jay looked disgusted. "That's an impossible diet! You may as well drink air." He kicked the buck away down a hill. Some scavenging animal would find it and eat it. "How old are you? One hundred? Clare glanced to where the shadows were falling from, taking interest in the shapes that moved across. "I guess not." She leaned a little against Kendall. "I guess since we can't change the past all we can do is live while we can. While we have something to live for."
