Tenshi smiled shyly as she wrapped her rms around him, not wanting to let go. "But...the sand would have protected you..."

Itachi grinned widely at her. He swam over and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. "I do."

Gaara raised an eyebrow, and then thought about this for a second. "Probably..." he said, pulling her close before whispering something in her ear. "I still would've died inside from loneliness though... Even if I was alive on the outside..."

Shiroku laughed softly, and then smiled up at him. "Wasn't there a stream somewhat outside of the village that you used to love messing around in as a little kid...?"

Tenshi looked at him with a sad expression. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she stroked his cheek softly. "I...that is an even worse feeling than actually dying..."

Itachi nodded a bit as he grinned at her. "There sure was...that was where we first met...if I remember correctly."

Gaara nodded, but then smiled softly at her. "Because of you though, that never happened to me..." he murmured, gently setting one hand on her cheek.

Shiroku smiled, and then nodded. "I can't remember it all that well..." she murmured, even though it was obvious that she truly did. "Can you tell me about what happened again?" She really just wanted to hear him tell it.

Tenshi snuggled close to him as she looked up at him. She closed her eyes slightly as she relaxed a bit. She kissed his neck slightly as she let out a small sigh. “I’m glad…”

Itachi chuckled a bit as he looked at her. “Hm…you had gotten lost and I was swimming. I heard you walk around and decided to scare you…which is what I did…then you beat me up…”

Gaara smiled as he watched her, and then gently stroked her hair before resting his chin on the top of her head. "Yeah... I am too, since you're now always here to stop those feelings from coming back..."

Shiroku watched him, and then pouted teasingly a bit up at him. "I still don't see why you scared me..." she said, before sticking her tongue out a bit at him. "You just loved to mess with me back then, didn't you?"

Tenshi smiled softly as she didn't realize that tears were falling. She tightly closed her eyes as she gripped onto his robe. She let out a small sob.

Itachi grinned as he splashed a bit of water on her as he soon began to swim around. "It was fun...you always fought back...no else ever did..."

Gaara blinked a bit as he looked down at her, but soon smiled softly. As he pulled her close into his arms, he gently brushed a few strands of her hair out of her face before leaning down and gently kissing her forehead.

Shiroku rolled her eyes a bit in amusement, and then grinned as she splashed him back. "Well, you know I was a reluctant and stubborn person back then..." she mused, before pouting a bit. "You always won though... Since you were bigger, and older."

Tenshi clung to him as sobs wracked her body as she shook. She began to mutter about how much she loved him and that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.

Itachi chuckled as he suddenly appeared behind her. "You have a true point...and besides...you were rather adorable as a little kid."

Gaara looked down at her, and smiled softly as he kissed the top of her head. "I love you too Tenshi..." he whispered, resting his cheek in her hair. "And I want to spend the rest of my life with you as well..."

Shiroku raised an eyebrow, and tilted her head back so she could look up at him with a grin. "How so?" she asked, rather curious. "Was I adorable because I always was stubborn and reluctant, or was I just adorable?"
