The puppy licked Drake's hand, wagging its tail slightly.

The doctor grasped the white bandages, gently starting to wrap Drake's wounds with it.

Drake tensed when he felt something wrapping around him, and he held onto the dog tighter, growling slightly at the doctor.

The doctor ignored him now, focusing on his work.

The dog squirmed slightly at the tight grip, its ears flicking.

Drake kept his grip on the puppy, although he loosened it slightly. He glared at the doctor weakly, his eyes still glazed as he did.

The doctor glanced at him, frowning at his glare before he sighed and moved to the next wound.

The puppy tried to lick Drake's face, wagging its tail again excitedly.

Drake stopped his glare when the puppy licked his face. He grimaced, and wiped it off his face using one of his hands, coughing.

The puppy wriggled as it wagged its tail, suddenly trying to lick him multiple times.

Drake flinched at the licking, growling some as he didn't bother to wipe them away this time. He closed his eyes, on the brink of unconsciousness now.

Drake's grip on the puppy went limp after he fell unconscious, not feeling the licking anymore.
