Haunted woods. Cursed forest. What was the difference? Both titles seemed like nonsense. Rubbish. Who believed in ghost and spooky stories anymore? The single, long, almost lonely sounding howl that echoed through that forest was just some wolf or stray mutt crying out in hunger, it happening on the nights of full moons was pure coincidence.
Nothing more.
That pair of golden eyes that sometimes seem to appear in between the trees? Nonsense, just a light from someone's window playing tricks on the eye. The quiet, winding path that stretched between the trees further into them, almost in a welcoming manner, was no more than an old trail. Those that had almost never returned from venturing in there to find the beast the foolishly believed in had just gotten themselves lost and hadn't been able to find their way back.
At least, that's what one could tell themselves who lived the the town that was located not far outside that forest during the day and when the moon was not large, round, and white in the sky above. It was just an old, quiet, unnamed and peaceful wood-land.
Yet on those foggy nights with said howl sounded, the forest seemed quiet different that most of the rest of the time. It really did seem like all that nonsense could be true. That the stories, could be true. That the creature that was said to roam in that spooky place, could be real. And actually...

It was.

Name: Unknown {Ricardo Vehan}
Nickname(s): Monster, Beast, Forest Creature, The Werewolf {Rikki}
Age: Unknown, only known to have been around for a little over a hundred years {Approx. 190}
Gender: Unknown, assumed to be masculine but perhaps genderless {Male}
Date of Birth: Unknown {I'm not sure he remembers or kept track.}
Personality:
Said to always be hungry, mad, kills anything that it sees alive. If spotted, hid and pray it does not see or find you. {Relatively calm and collected most of the time, also intelligent, though sometimes his hands start shaking and his legs get wobbly when depressed or afraid, not necessarily for himself. When angered, though this is difficult to do unless you're trying to kill him, as a few idiots have attempted before, his eyes narrow and he sometimes starts walking on all fours; morphs if he becomes furious. He also does not like to kill, but has in self-defense and still will if it's necessary.}
History:
The first signs of his existence where noted about a hundred and twenty years ago, when someone out walking in the woods, saw a dark shape, larger than any normal human being(that was, to him anyway) quickly fled from the path when he was heard. Later that month, the first howl that had been heard in those parts for many, many years was heard. And the shape was said to be spotted one or two more times over the next few months. {Thus the stories began, and how long he had actually been living peacefully there up to that point is unknown except to him.}
Over the falling years, and after a tourist had disappeared{He actually got lost and a bear attacked him, Ricardo had nothing to do with it.}, a few persons gathered together a small group to go hunting for this dark shape, and the tourist, if it was even real. Some of them returned, sometimes only half returned, sometimes they didn't return at all. So the fact that there was apparently something living in their woods was apparent.
The most interesting story of all though, and the first person to actually be brave enough to wander into the woods, at night, alone, was a child. This young child was not seen for the rest of the night, and her parents were panicking, but the next morning, she was seen walking back into town and went home. When asked where the heck she had been, she said she'd gone into the woods, gotten lost, and that the creature was real, but stayed with her the rest of the night and then left her at the edge of the woods so she could go home the next morning, as she had. {Of course, most of this story was forgotten over time, and sometimes now they even say he kidnapped her and she did not come back, which is untrue. She also mentioned that she creature that found her was like a large wolf, which is why they seem to think he is a werewolf, and this is pretty much about the only completely true fact they know. These stories have also gotten wilder over time, making more than live in the town now just tell them as stories rather than facts, considering no one has went hunting for him for years and no one has disappeared for even longer. This doesn't mean he's any less real than he was then however, he's just been a little more careful about hiding.}

Descriptions of Appearances:
-Those that have caught a glimpse of him have said that he was about seven feet tall, all of him was dark or black in color.
-The girl who actually saw him and lived to tell about it said he was like a large wolf with a more human structure and build, also very large.
-A few have said they've seen some more humanish than wolfish but it was still furry.
{In reality, he looks completely human most of the time, except for his gold-colored eyes. He wears dark blue and black clothing, and his hair is also black a unevenly cut, also a little longer than average. Ricardo is light complected with sharp features and eyebrows, and stands about about 6' 1" in height. So he is tall, but not as nearly as tall as some seem to believe.
When he morphs or is forced to, and which is the form the little girl saw, his ears are sharp and so is his long nose, while his eyes are the same color. His fur is black, while his claws are dark gray. The fur on his hands/paws is shorter than that around his neck, waist, and lower torso/upper legs.
I will post a picture of both forms when I finish drawing them for a better idea of how he looks.}
