Shane shrugged, looking down at Isabella. "I suppose that's true. But I just feel like a monster sometimes. Five years and I'll still not used to it. That's why I ran out of the cafe when you cut your finger. It was the blood." he said, looking back down at his hands and closing his eyes. "I really wish I would of never been changed sometimes. Everything was so much easier. There are days too when I just want to walk outside and throw my ring. I've thought about doing that for the two years I've owned it."

Isabella shook her head, "If you would have took that ring off in the sunlight when you first turned. I would be here, I would be with Aaron. I wouldn't have tried to play basketball, see a real vampire, or even ask awkward questions." She said with a bright smile on her face.

Shane chuckled slightly, his eyes flickering open, though were staring at his hands. "That's true I suppose. Whenever I want to do that, something stopped me. Who knows, maybe it was the fact that I someone knew you needed someone." he said with a slight smile. Raising his head from it's bowed position, he looked at Isabella, falling silent, his golden eyes searching her blue ones.

Isabella smiled, "Maybe. See, you made someone's life better." she told him with a white smile. She watched him look up at her, and their eyes locked. Holding each other gazes. She didn't know what to say next, just yet. The silence was an awkward silent, but a calm one.

Shane didn't know what told him to do this. Maybe it was the conversation. Maybe it was the way they held each other's gazes intensely. But, he reached out the short distance, setting two fingers under Isabella's chin and lifting her head up, his own lowering slightly. "If I kiss you right now, will you slap me? Awnser truthfully." he asked, his voice low and soft.

Isabella felt him place two of his fingers under her chin, lifting her head up a little as he lowered his head. There faces about a few inches apart as he asked her something, she never thought he would. She smiled and shook her head softly, with his fingers still under her chin, "No." She whispered softly to him.

"Good." Shane said, leaning down until his lips brushed against Isabella's, eyes flickering closed. After a moment, he let his hand fall from her chin and both of them moved to be overlapped around her waist, bringing her closer to him, allowing his lips to be normally pressed against her's.

Isabella smiled when he said good. She felt his lips softly brush against hers. She felt his hand disappear from her chin. She felt his hands then wrap around her waist, pulling her closer. She jumped off the stool, so she could get closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, while her eyes were closed. She then kissed him back. This gave her butterflies in the pit of her stomach, but it felt good.

Shane shifted his weight on his stool to allow the girl to move closer to him, though not standing up, since his height woud leave him bending quite down some and Isabella on her tiptoes, feeling her arms wrapping around his neck. Then it seemed as though the simple kiss was intensified slightly as she kissed him back, both of their lips against each other's now. No soft brushing like at the beginning.

Isabella stood there as she kissed with gently, with her plush lips. She pulled away a little from his mouth, her bright blue eyes looking up at him. She smiled with her arms still around his neck. Their faces maybe an inch away, "Well, wasn't just fun." She said with a white smile.
