Shane nodded, leaning back against the counter. "Well, I wasn't just going to not do anything. I may be an apparent, soulless monster, but I'm not going to let someone get beat while I hang around in the shadows. Plus, you're one of the very few who have spoken to me without calling me a freak." he said, his eyes shifting down as the movement of her biting her lip drew his gaze at her lips in his peripheral vision, before they flickered back up to her eyes.

Isabella slowly released her bottom lip from grip. She looked at Shane, and smiled. "Because your not a freak. Your a human being like everyone else. Even if you are not breathing." She said a little teasingly at him. She shrugged, "Most people do, so I am kinda use to it." She told him honestly.[/quote]

Shane shook his head. "I tried for a very long time to think that I was really a human, even though I was changed. Truth is, I'm not a human. I look like a human, and do things humans can do. Well, to certain extent. But, I'm really not." he said, now looking down at his hands again, spinning his ring around his finger once more. "I'm a monster, and I will always be one." he added, before shrugging one shoulder. "Most people may stay in the shadows, but I'm not most people. I prefer the fight over flight."

Isabella sighed, "Your not a monster, I wish you could see it." She said softly to him. She listened to the next part. She smiled, "Yeah, i am glad your not like most people." She told him. The strands of her blonde hair still in her face. Her bright blue eyes shimmed in the sunlight. She looked at him as the sunlight shined down on them through the window.

"Isabella, I drink blood. I just finished drinking some of your's. You can't say I'm not a monster." Shane said, lifting his head and turning it, looking at the girl. He reached out, finally moving the strands of hair away from her face and behind her ear, before letting his hand fall, looking towards the window, golden eyes squinting slightly at the bright glare of the sun.

Isabella shook her head, "You drink animal blood. You only drank mine because I offered it to you because you needed it." She said softly to him. She let him push a lock of hair from her face, and behind her ear. It kinda gave her butterflies in the pit of her stomach for some reason. She looked at him as he looked at the window.

"I know it's animal, Isabella. But it's still blood. Human beings don't drink blood." Shane said, blinking slowly, his dark eyelashes moving down to brush the hollows of his eyes, before his eyelids flickered back up, still looking outside.

Isabella shrugged, "So? There are criminals out there, and you are worried about a little animal blood? Trust me, there are more messed up people out there that are not inhuman." She said softly. She looked down at her hands.

Shane turned his head, blinking slowly again as he looked down at Isabella, though she was looking down at her hands. "True. There are worst crimes, but it doesn't mean anything. I'm still not human and a monster. In text at least. It took me a long time to convince myself I was no longer human." he said. Some people said vampires couldn't feel anything, but he knew he could. He still had feelings and emotions.

Isabella sighed, and looked up at him. "Your not a monster. So what if you drink blood, at least you don't cause a blood shed like sick humans in this world. You don't cause wars, you don't kill people. I think you sound pretty normal to me." She said with a soft smile.
