{Lol. X3 Fantasizing a smidge too much. Lol. In class, I'm doing a project on John Brown, so I kinda strayed and searched up pictures of John Egbert instead.}

"Sorry, dude," Responded John. "That's what happens when an airplane has no safety equipment...I'll take a note of that." He broke the hug, then pretended to write "a note" down on his hand for the sheer irony of it. As they got closer and closer to his house, the more he didn't want to go home. He had actually had fun with Dave that day. Do I...? Like-like him, too? John thought, looking at the neighboring houses. Could be possible...Am I gay, too? Well, I guess it...His thoughts trailed off and he looked down at the pavement.

Dave took out his shades and put them back on, smiling and giving John a little nudge. "You don't look too good. Don't worry 'bout it, John." He looked up at the stars, where they sparkled like the city lights. "At least no one got hurt."

John pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose and responded, trying to act like nothing was wrong," Oh, I'm okay. Again, really sorry about that..." Soon enough, they reached his driveway. "Dad will probably call me inside, if I don't go in first, so...See you later?"

Dave looked over at John and then just gave him a quick, tight hug before backing up and waving good bye with a smile. "Yea, see ya tommorow, John." Dave turned around and started to head back home, watching ahead as each streetlamp flickered on.

John waved and shot Dave {Lol...John wouldn't ever shoot Dave for no reason, so...Just don't jump to conclusions when you read that X3} a faint smile {See? Told ya} before turning around and sauntering up to his tall house. "B-bye..." was all he would allow himself to say. As he reached the front door, his cheeks blushed a bright red, contrasting drastically with his usual pale cheeks. Could it be...? No! You can't jump to conclusions like that. That doesn't necessarily mean he likes me...He thought to himself, turning the doorknob and wandering inside. Dad would probably be baking something. He confirmed his guess, as soon as the smell of Betty Crocker drifted to his nose.

(woopwoop what if dave doesn't give john the remix right away, like he forgets it or something, and then John gets amnesia and dave leaves the cd there at the hospital room and john picks it up and stuff happens.)

That night, Dave woke up around four in the morning, freaking out about one of his nightmares. He had ended up working on the remix for about three hours, perfecting it and burning it to a cd. Along with the remix, there was a second song he'd composed a while ago on the guitar, and he'd really just made it for John. He slipped the cd into a CD sleeve and set it on the counter, eating a slice of cold pizza from yesterday and getting ready for school. When Dave left the house, he felt he was forgetting something, but he wasn't sure what. He walked out to the bus stop and waited for the bus to arrive, ready for the day ahead
