Tate turned to Melody and reached out for her. He gently picked her up and retracted his fangs. "Its alright now my princess." He whispered in her ear as he walked away with her. He started for the woods where they first met.

Cassandra smiled at Callado and followed. "I love you." She whispered as she leaned against him.

"Wh-who were they?" Melody asked, almost traumatized. The other vampires had wanted to eat her or something. She was reasonably relaxed in Tate's strong arms though.

"I know, I love you too," Callado whispered. He decided they would go back to his house, which was a thankfully short walk away. He rubbed her back again.

"I'm ashamed to say they were my friends." Tate said sighing. He sat Melody down and looked into her eyes. "How are you?" He asked smiling at her. "Did it freak you out?" He asked kissing her tenderly.

Cassandra smiled. "How foolish I was." Cassanda whispere as she kept walking with him.

"I'm ashamed to say they were my friends." Tate said sighing. He sat Melody down and looked into her eyes. "How are you?" He asked smiling at her. "Did it freak you out?" He asked kissing her tenderly.

Cassandra smiled. "How foolish I was." Cassanda whispere as she kept walking with him.

"A lot," Melody whispered, pushing away from his kiss and still shaking slightly. She sat down on the ground of the forest and sighed. "Yeah, I'm fine Tate," she sighed, closing her eyes. "You really need to work on choosing better company. So, do you think your 'friends' will come looking?" she asked, opening her eyes again and shooting him a venomous glare. What did he think he was doing, kissing her, leaving her, almost getting her killed and now expecting her to be nice to him?

Callado squeezed her tight again. "We all have our moments of foolishness, me more than most I promise you," he chuckled. He was just so glad she wanted to stay with him. He just couldn't think about what he would do if she had wanted him to stay away, it hurt to try and think of it.

Tate sat beside her and pulled Melody into his arms. "I am so sorry love. I would have never let them go to the pool if I had known." Tate said gently kissing the top of her head. "They probably won't. My father is leader of our clan and they wouldn't dare come after us to challenge me." Tate said. He lifted Melody's head so she would look at him. "I love you Melody." He said before he stood up with her still in his arms.

Cassandra smiled at Callado. She couldn't believe how stupid she almost was. She couldn't think of not being with Callado. She sighed happily as her phone rang. She ignored it and kept walking with Callado.

"Get off of me," Melody growled, writhing violently in Tate's arms, desperate to get away from him. "You may think you're all high and mighty because you're an immortal, immoral vampire, but you really don't know how to treat someone who you love. Now let me go!" she screamed, kicking and jumping out of his arms. She turned to face him again, eyes full of angry tears, before running away into the forest. She ignored the multiple scratches and snags on her clothes from the branches she ran through.

Callado frowned when Cassandra didn't answer her phone. Admittedly, he knew it would ruin the perfect moment between them then, but what if it was something important? "Hey, Cassandra babe, you should probably answer that, just in case," he whispered, kissing her head again. He realised that Cassandra was his only female girlfriend that had found out about him being a vampire, and he couldn't be happier about it. She was the first one he had trusted enough, even if she had almost left him because of it, and they had only been together for a day.

Tate watched Melody run away. What did he do? Tate wondered. He knew he could catch her in 5 seconds but he let her run. Tate scratched his head then went after her. "Melody!" He called after her. "What did I do?" He asked her gently when he caught up with her. Tate felt so bad when he realized he had made her cry. "Oh Melody, I am so sorry!"

Cassandra looked at Callado. "It's just my mother. If I answer she'll ask where I am and who I`m with." Cassandra looked down at her feet. "If I tell her the truth she'll forbid me to see you." She finished softly. Cassandra couldn't let that happen.

Melody stopped for a second to glare again at Tate, her lower lip quivering violently as she tried to hold back her tears. "Tate, you keep running away and leaving me, and you just almost got me killed. It probably isn't affecting you, but it's killing me. I've only just met you and I really, really like you, but if you're going to keep leaving me, I'm going to end it by leaving you now," she hissed. She ran a hand underneath her eyes to brush away her tears, then shook her head as she burst into another fit of sobbing.

Callado nodded slowly and laughed slightly. "Well, we can't let that happen, now can we?" he asked rhetorically. He felt his own phone go off in his pocket and pulled it out to check who it was. "Oh, just Fraser," he shrugged, shoving it back into the pocket. Fraser was his best friend, but he would understand why he didn't pick it up. He had known his friend not to have picked up whilst he had been with a girl. Which he was very often.

Tate stared at Melody. "I saved you!" He ground out. He shook his head. "Melody you just don't get it do you?" Tate asked sadly. "I'm sorry you feel the way you do." Tate said as he turned and walked away.

Cassandra laughed when she heard his phone go off. She smiled as she twirled out of his arms and began ballet dancing around Callado.
