Nico groaned and rolled over as morning caused him to wake up.

Caroline had left no trance of her, aside from the door being left slightly open, and the key on her pillow. She had left a while before, taking her bookbag and slipping out of the room.
She was halfway from the hotel to the Parthenon by now. It was barely past dawn, the ciy barely stirring. Her hair was in a ponytail, her bag on both shoulders, and one hand in her pocket, the other gripping the bookbag's strap. She casted a glance back at the hotel, then kept moving. She'd finish this quest by herself. If he was so concentrated in being by himself, she had no need to bring him along. He wouldn't help. Raising her chin, she nodded to herself, seeing the park which containted the famous replica of her mother's temple up ahead.
"I am just fine by myself."

Nico didn't notice she was gone at first. He took a shower, and got dressed before noticing that she was gone. He grabbed his stuff, leaving the key on the pillow, unsure on if he would return or not, before shadow traveling to the Parthenon, figuring that would be where she was.

Caroline continued at her pace, seeing the Parthenon as she neared. She halted when she had noticed the beautiful garden that complimented the park, smiling as she turned her head to eye the garden from afar. Shaking her head, she kept moving.
The Parthenon was apparently closed for 'investigation' at the moment, from what she could see. But the entrance was not blocked, aside from a metal-bar baricade.
Walking up the steps, she spotted Nico, but other than a quick glance, paid him no mind.
"My calculations are usually correct, so the Oracle should be in here..." Caroline mused, jumping over the baricade and landing in a kneeling position. She stood, and began walking inside. The first thing she noticed was the statue.
What she didn't notice was the girl in chains right behind it.

Nico followed her silently, but hid himself in the shadows so it would be impossible to notice him.

"I don't see her here...I wonder. Oh, but look at the statue !" Gasping, Caroline jogged over, sliding to a halt infront of the massive sculpture of the goddess she'd come to know as her true mother.
"Amazing..." She began to walk around the statue- when she saw the sneaker.
"What in the world..? Is that..Rachel !" Caroline had been told a brief description of the girl when she was at camp- Annabeth, of course- and this girl matched it almost perfectly- except she was a bit bloody.
And her hands were chained to the rope around the statue.
