Martian nodded. "I will." He said, and followed Penny out of the room. 'This guy, Mr.Cowskin-or whoever he sounds like a real-' Martians thought was cut off by another. 'If this guy has one maid...what are the chances of having more? Maids, servants, guards?' worry flashed across his face, he tried to hid it. But Martian was never good at showing his emotions.

In the hall Martian could hear Riley's yells, normally he would've threatend the person who caused it, but ever since his relationship with Penny started, he didn't feel the urge to do that anymore/ Martian sighed and headed towards the stables. He picked a sable dun stalllion, and a sorrel colored one aswell, he proceded to mount the sable dun bareback, he looked at Penny."You don't mind riding bareback do you?" he questioned her. hoping she didn't mind, he looked at the forest surronding them. He knew the Reddawn forest was located east of the castle gates. He wondered how long it would take to get to this house.


Riley sobbed. "Why?" She asked. "Why can't you?" She asked more clearly as her sobs had covered up her question at first time. "Jason the only thing you can ever do to make me upset is ignore me, or not let me in on whats troubling you." Riley said. "And if you can't.." Riley looked at the ring. "Maybe we shouldn't be married." She knew she didn't want a divorce, but how cold she ever be married to a man who didn't explain himself, or express himself? "Not that I want a divorce." she added. "Just I think we should be able to share things with each other." Riley insisted.

Penny walked down to the stables, shortly followed by Martian. "It's east of the gates, right?" Penny asked as she jumped on the back of the horse Martian chose, and it answered his question. She sighed, then wrapped her arms around Martian's waist.

"D**M IT RILEY!" Jason yelled, looking at her, "I CAN'T TELL YOU!" He looked away again and said more calmly, "I love you, I do, but I-I just can't tell you because I love you. U-Understand?" He looked at again, trying his best to make her understand that he really can't say or she'd be dead.

Martian nodded. "Yes, or atleast that's where it was when I was little boy, and last I checked, forests don't move." Martian murmured, he started the horse striaght into a gallop, and once at the gates, he headed east at high-speed. He sisn't want to waste anytime.

Riley sighed. "Fine." She murmured, though it didn't soothe her wanting to talk to him about it, she'd agree so they'd get this argument over with.

Penny didn't laugh, though it was funny in her opinion. She rode comfortably with Martian, her hands around his waist to keep her from falling. She actually enjoyed the ride, and she leaned forward so she was leaning against Martian's back.

"No. I said understand. Do you understand that I can't tell you or not?" Jason said seriously. He needed her to understand. If she didn't, it would be her life. "And would it help if I told you that I wish I didn't have to keep this secret. Besides, everyone has secrets, there are probably plenty of thing you've kept for me.."

Martian slowed down where the grass and houses started turning into trees. "We're looking for a lone cabin.." he murmured looking closly at the scenery.

"I understand..." Riley got his point now, she did have secrets that he had no idea about. She looked at Jason. "Just please don't make me think you've killed yourself again." Riley asked.

Jason began to walk out, but stopped and turned back around. He shut the door, the window, and the blinds, then looked to Riley. He bet his head to Riley's ear, "I arranged the whole thing. I knew that Alex was going to get taken and beaten." He couldn't tell her why, so he just said, "You can hate me."

Penny nodded an okay, then sat up and closed her eyes for a while. {WB}

Riley was in complete shock, she knew Alex wasn't really his son, but the boy thought of him as his father "Jason wh-" something told her that answer would be a secret too. she sighed. "I don't hate you, I'm sure you have your reasons." Riley said calmly, but it was obviouly faked.

Martian saw it, there were men and horses at the gate. A man asked why he was here. "I'm here to buy a cow." Martian said, gesturing to the cattle herd behind the house. The man thought of it for a second.

"I don't care if you do. You have every reason to be mad." Jason said, then he opened the door and left, limping down the hall. He sighed loudly and leaned against the wall for a while.

Penny sighed, "I'm married, I was just out with my cousin." Penny smiled, hoping she fooled the guard with her marriage idea.

The guard sighed. "Very well." He murmured,, Martian urged his horse forward, he dismounted, and then helped Penny down. He walked up to the door, and knowcked, he waited for someone to answer.

Riley sighed. she just sat in the room thinking, what could Jason say to make that even seem ok? There must've been something. Riley thought.

Penny followed Martian to the porch and waited for someone to answer the door. She whistled as she waited.

Jason went into his room and fell on the bed, angry at everything. Especially himself. He let this happen. Him. He risked his like son.
