Elwood couldn't help but laugh, he was tickilish where she poked him. "I trust you, and I trust you won't leave me. I don't know what I'd do if you left me, I couldn't hurt you." Elwood said, and then blushed realizing how 'romantic' that came out. "I want you to take my hand until we get to the car. I trust you, but it's just in case, okay?" Elwood said softly. Elwood held his hand out to Hayley.

Hayley nodded in response. She wanted him to trust her, even though she didn't feel like it was necessary for her to hold his hand, she would. She wasn't going to give him a hard time. If that is how she could get him to trust her, she would. Hayley slipped her hand into his and waited for him to get up.

Elwood smiled, "Thank you for understanding." Elwood said and let go of Hayley's hand only to put Fish on his leash and unlock the door with his paper clip. He then took her hand in his. "Do you want to hold Fish's leash?" Elwood asked offering the leash to Hayley.

"Sure." Hayley replied, taking his leash in her free hand. She started walking into the rest of the apartment, waiting for him to come and looking around out of curiosity. She looked to the door that she guessed led out to the hallway.

"C'mon." Elwood said walking towards the door and opening it. He smiled a bit lovingly at her before taking her in the hallway and to the Elevator. "You don't have to hold my hand in the Elevator by the way." Elwood told her with a nod. When the doors opened Elwood stepped inside, allowing her to follow him.

Hayley nodded and stepped inside, but she didn't release his hand. She would just have to take it when the elevator opened anyways and for some reason..well she didn't want to let go. She made sure Fish got inside before she pressed the button to the bottom floor, the doors closing and the elevator going down. She bit her lip lightly and looked over at Elwood.

"What's wrong?" Elwood asked as he felt the elevator shift down under his feet. Elwood had noticed she was biting her lip, and thought she was nervous for some reason. He was glad she had decided to continue to hold his hand. He looked to Fish who was now sitting on the elevator floor and wagging his tail excitedly.

"Nothing is wrong..I am just a little bit confused." She said, looking down to their hands. "Like, why haven't I let go of your hand yet when I don't need to hold it?" Hayley asked quietly, looking back up at him and tilting her head sideways a bit.

Elwood blushed lightly, could it be because she liked him? No.. it couldn't be. Elwood shrugged lightly. "I.. umm.. have no idea." Elwood said a bit shyly. Elwood's blush deepened as his thoughts raced, what if she liked him like he liked her? Would they be able to be together?

Hayley just nodded and looked away awkwardly, a bright blush on her face too. She sighed quietly and when the doors opened she walked out, waiting for him to follow before she headed over to the doors of the building, then outside. Now she just felt totally embarassed and felt like a fool for saying that.
