( I have NO idea where we left off. So. Its Saturday morning. 1 week after Keenland Race. Abbey is now 7. I sped up her age. Ya, mean, but Clover is now 2 years old instead of 9 months. Abbey had her first foal when she was 5 which is Clover Star.)

Sammy-- Sammy walked out to the barn while she was still in the middle of her peach. She didn't feel like making a whole Saturday morning breakfeast so she just grabbed a peach. When she finished it she saw some birds pecking around for some bird seed or worms. She looked at the peach, the birds, the peach again and rolled the peach over to the birds.
Sammy heard some nickers and neighs in the barn. Only 3 more days until Clover Star turns 2. The handsome chestnut colt had filled in his muscles and grew in his summer coat. He was very beautiful when he ran in the paddock. He was a sure champion, because he was Abbey's first foal. Any foal from Abbey is amazing

Lex- she walked out to the barn skipping breakfast all together before running to go say hi to Sierra

"hey girl" she said and laufghed as the horse pinned her ears at her, "Fine then snot I didn't want to talk to you anyway" then she walked over to say hi to champ smiling as she rubbed the duns muzzle before running to get his leather ahlter and lead him out to start brushing him

Sammy-- "Heya big boy. Come on. Let's get you shinned up." Sammy told the big chestnut. Clove loved to be groomed. He never hesitated. Sammy heard a familiar nicker from the end of the barn. Sammy knew this nicker by heart. Vally.
Vally had lived at Ashleigh Griffen's racing farm. Ashleigh had high dreams for the filly but Ash's grooms couldn't handle the filly. Ashleigh has over 25 horses at her farm and had to ride them all and didn't have time to ride Vally, so she trailered the filly to Sammy and pretty much said, "Train. Enjoy." Smiled and waved and drove back to her farm.
Sammy started Vally on the track 2 weeks ago. The filly reachted, like really reachted to the touch of a crop. Charlie had found crop welts on her flank and that concluded the filly's story. Where ever she came from, she was abused and hated crops. Sammy hadn't had a chance to take her out on the track since then, but since Paradise is under a new jockey's hand, Rocko Smithinins, Sammy didn't have to ride him so she could focus on Clove and Vally. Rocko was the best 27 year old jockey ever. Well, at least Sammy thought so. Rocko had a very soft grip with young horses and the horses always ran their best with Rocko. And, Rocko is a family friend of Mike, Sammy and Lex's father.

Sammy continued to groom Clove, making sure he shone to his best. Clove just stood there the entire grooming session. Sammy knew that he'd be a very calm horse if he continues this. Sammy just laughed in her head as Clove's head started to drop and when he got to a certain point the cross ties would rub on his face and he jerked his head up and continued this until he learned to hold his head.

Lex- she started to sweep the brush of the horses golden coat as the muscles hard she smiled as she remembered how fast the horse could move when asked. "Today I get to work you Champ first time since keenland" she said "I hope your ready for it" she said worried. Champ had twisted his fetlock getting into the trailer on the way home, "What am I saying you will do just fine uh boy" she said as she put the brushes away and placed the tack gently on his back. Champ made a face as he felt the girth tightened and was rewarded with a laugh from lex, "its not that bad" she said before swining into his saddle and walking him out to the track

Sammy-- Sam put Clove back in his stall and gave him a small handful of his favorite grain. Then she walked over to the mare's barn and got Vally out. Sam decided she should take Vally out and just work her at a walk trot and canter before doing anything else that would make Sam fall down the backside of Vally. She brushed Vally off just breafly and tacked the mare up. Sammy double checked her boots to make sure she didn't have her spurs on and left the crop behind.
"Come on Vally. Let's do this again. Nothing crazy. Promise?" Sammy asked and Vally threw her head up and down.

The only one on the track was Lex. The other jockeys already rode earlier that morning. Sammy motioned Lex to come here.

"I'm going to try something different today. Just walk, trot and cantering. When I walk her she is walking with looser rein than I normally have her, so just beaware please. I'd appreciate it if you didn't gallop by her either. If you are galloping a full lap, I'll be on look out. Is that ok wih you?" Sammy asked Lex

Lex- she nodded, "Do you want Champ and i to walk with her like ponying Champ is really calm, and I wasn't planning on galloping just getting him back on the track"
