Feather sighed in content as she finished eating. The berries had been delicious.

It had been a couple weeks, and it was easy to move around. The wounds have healed. Breeze had no trouble hunting now. "Will we be accepted back into our pack?" Breeze asked Feather. "Do you want to go back and see?"

"Okay. We'll take the chance," Feather nodded, "We can both hunt and run just like before again."

Breeze and Feather started to run back to their old territory.

It was springtime again. They passed blooming trees, fields of colourful wildflowers, and bubbling brooks.

"I think we're almost there," Breeze said, noting the familiar scent. "Come on!" She said with a cheerful smile.

Feather sniffed the air. "You're right, we're getting close!" She said as she grinned back at Breeze.

They walked some more, and there it was, their old camp. "I-I'm nervous." Breeze said.

"Me too." Feather said hesitantly.

Breeze closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Here goes..." And they stepped into the camp.
