Cherry looked up as she heard Zach. Her eyes's widened and she started to run away.

Max grinned and lead her out of the movies, into his car.

Zach growled and caught Cherry's arm. He spun her around to face him and stared her in the eyes,
"What happened ?"

Dawn looked down and smiled. She looked up and gasped,
"Wait..I-I can't.." She looked down again and pulled her hand back.

Cherry explained everything about her child-life and then ended with her voice cracking. She lowered her clouded gaze.

Max smirked and belted up her seat-belt. He shoved his key into the ignition and started the car.

Dawn sighed,
"Max..I can't.." She looked down.

Zach frowned,
"Wait- So..She can't fall for him because..You love him ?"

Max accelerated the car down the road,
"Can't do what?"

Cherry looked up suddenly,
"Uh- No- I used to."

Zach sighed,
"If you used to then..Dawn can be with him, can't she ?"

Dawn sighed,
"This..Us..I just- It's complicated.." She groaned and threw her head back.

Max stopped the car, the beachy gravel grinding the tires. He smirked and raised an eyebrow,
"Really?" Max unbuckled his seatbelt and climbed over to Dawn, pulling a level. The chair of the car was flat now and he stared down at her.

Cherry clenched her fists,
"But she promised! Even if we were little kids, she still promised!"

Dawn stared up at him. Her breathing became uneven,
"Max...Please, Don't..I-I promised her.."

Zach sighed,
"I understand that..But sometimes, You gotta sacrifice some things..I mean, If Max and Dawn want to be together.." He sighed again and stepped away from her.

Cherry's heart skipped a beat,
"Z-Zach. Don't leave me..." She begged him, "Please..."

Max grabbed her wrists and held them down. He kissed her and smirked, saying nothing.

Zach looked at her and sighed,
"I'm not going anywhere Cher.." He pulled her towards him, "Think of it like this, You and I are happy. Should Dawn and Max get a chance too ?"

Dawn groaned and tried to pushed him off,
"Max.." She croaked, tears welling in her eyes. She struggled to free her wrist but managed. She glanced down and reached for her phone, texting Cherry quickly.
