Matt finsished tying his toes and went after her to catch up. He grabbed her hand and helped her down, then leaned over to back of the couch to massage her shoulders once she sat down. "We're probably going to have to sleep down here in Hayley's old room once you get close to having the baby. I don't want you walking up and down those stairs. You might fall and hurt yourself." He leaned back as she stood up and pulled the keys from his pockets. He went out to the car, opened Bailey's side, then went to his own.

Bailey smiled. "I'm not gonna hurt myself," she said walking out the door. She got in on her side and put her seat belt on. She shut the door and leaned against it. She sighed and was excited. She hoped for a baby girl. She watched out the window.

"Alright, but promise me you'll think about it," he said as he started the car. He reached over and rubbed her stomach. "You've gotten so much bigger since we went to the hospital last time," he said with a smile. He pulled his hand away and pulled out of the driveway. He drove through town to the hospital and turned into the lot. He parked and cut the engine, then got out to go quickly to Bailey's side of the car. "You ready?" he said with a slight smirk, opening her door.

Bailey nodded. As they drove, she thought about everything that was going to happen. She looked at Matt who was opening her door. She stood up and smiled. "As ready as I'll ever be," she said. She held his hand and walked nervously into the hospital.

Matt held onto her hand tightly as they went into the hospital. He went up the the front desk and signed Bailey in on a clipboard. The clerk behind the desk turned in his chair to look at them in questioning. "We're here for Bailey's appointment," he said, and the man nodded. "Just take a seat, she'll be in in a few minutes." Matt turned and went over to the chairs. He leaned over and kissed her cheek and then sat down.

Bailey smiled and sat down next to Matt. She couldn't wait to find out the gender. She was so happy. They still needed to decide names. It was going to be tough. They would also have to go but clothes and paint and other things.

Matt rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. He lost himself in thought, thinking about several things all at once. "Bailey Chambers?" The voice smacked him back into reality. He smiled and pulled Bailey out of her chair. "C'mon, we get to go see what the baby is~" he said in an excited, bubbly voice. They were led back into a room and told to wait

Bailey stood up slowly and walked to the room. She sat on the little bed thing and waited. She sighed and held Matt's hand tightly. "Here we go," she said excitedly. She was a little scared, but mostly excited. She looked at Matt and smiled.

Matt held her hand tightly and sat down in the chair next to the table. The door opened and Matt's head snapped up; an ultrasound technician. "Here for the gender?" he asked as he snapped the machine on. Matt simply nodded. He pushed Bailey's shirt up enough to expose her stomach. The tech pressed the probe to her stomach; Matt's hand squeezed tighter around hers as the screen came into focus. He tilted his head to see around the tech as he made a small humming noise. "Looks like a girl," he said finally, drawing away from the screen. "Congratulations," Matt felt like jumping up and screaming, but decided to leave that until he was out in the parking lot.

The gel was cold and Bailey was ready to find out what it was. She smiled when she heard it was a girl. She was so overwhelmed. Now they had to name her and buy her clothes. Bailey was excited to get out of there. She pulled her shirt down and stood up slowly. She opened the door and walked out.
