Matt watched her as she came down the stairs. He placed his hands on her waist and pulled her close to him. He kissed her forehead and ran a hand over her head. "I know she will," he said quietly, not wanting to stray and say anything else to upset her. "Nothing's going to happen. If anything did, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." he said quietly. He lifted her chin a little and tilted his head. He leaned down and kissed her gently, letting his lips linger a few seconds before pulling back.

Bailey smiled and kissed him back. It felt good to kiss him since they hadn't kissed in a while. She sighed. "But nothing is going to happen," she said. She knew the police would keep them safe. Her mom couldn't take on the police.

MAtt cupped her face and nuzzled the top of her head. He leaned back down and kissed her again, missing the feeling of them kissing. "I know, I know," he said softly after a few moments. He knew she was right, though there was a little bit of fear still left in him. But the police wouldn't let anything happen, right?

Bailey smiled as he kissed her again. She knew everything would be fine. She leaned her head against his. Emma was asleep and wasn't going to wake up for awhile. They had about an hour or two to themselves. This is something that hasn't been possible until now.

"Well then," he said as he perched his chin on top of her head. He moved his hands back down to her waist, his fingers making small circles in her skin. He turned his head and kissed the top of hers, smiling into her hair. "I love you," he said softly.

Bailey smiled. "I love you too," she said to him. Her legs were starting to hurt from standing so long. She finally sat down on the stairs. She sighed and looked around. Her fears were starting to go away. Matt made her feel better. A lot better.

Matt watched her curiously as she sunk down onto the stair step. He sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. He leaned over and kissed her cheek, then leaned his head against hers. "I'm tired," he said with a slight smirk on his face. "How about you?"

Bailey smiled and giggled a little. "Me too," she admitted. She hadn't slipped all night. If she had an hour, she was going to use it well. She stood up and reached her hands down to help Matt up. "C'mon," she said waiting for him to stand up.

Matt smiled and took her hands as he stood up, though he didn't use her weight to pull him up; he still weighed at least a good forty pounds more than she did and didn't want to pull her down. He kept one of his hands around hers as he led her up the stairs, past the nursery and into their room. He sat down on the bed as he pulled his hand from her, then patted the empty space next to him.

Bailey smiled and sat on the bed next to him. She layed down, putting her head on his chest. She sighed heavily and her eyes grew heavy. She pulled the covers up over her. She slowly warmed up and then finally fell asleep.
