{lets get to know each other}

name ;
soulseeker

gender ;
tom

warrior name ;
-
rank ;
warrior

wanted rank ;
deputy

    {on the outside}

    overall description ;
    Think va-va-voom, and this is what you get. Soulseeker is certainly eye-catching, you have to give him that. Upon his pelt rest only two colours, one clashing with the other. Monochromatic. The trademark colours of a tuxedo cat. The pure whiteness of his pelt appears natural, the dominant shade. Black is imprinted on top, coating most of his upper body. The darkness spreads, rippling out haphazardly into vague patches as it clings to the white. His markings are not bold and exact, they seem to bleed in, then fade away. While his muzzle may be a downcast white, his nose is painted with a delicate splash of black.

    You could say his pelt appears cloudlike, but in reality it is more refined and feathery, like a bird's plumage. Unfortunately for him, it seems to be permanently spiked as a result of static electricity. It coats his well-proportioned build, concealing any hint of muscle or fat. The tom is swift and agile on his paws as a result of his smaller, delicate frame, making his movements almost spiderlike. His torso is long and rounded, almost barrel-like in shape. He may appear small, but is rather hardy and deft, able to withstand life in torrential conditions. Like most clan cats, his paw-pads are rough and calloused, not easily bruised by stones. The colour is a stark charcoal grey, similar to his nose. Soulseeker is gifted with a long, thick tail, which is an asset in balance. It is similar in appearance to a large feather, being rather wispy.

    And now we come to his eyes. You could admire them. They're dull, yet noticeable all at once. Something you'd take for granted; miss their warmth when you don't have them, then forget about them once you do. Ice. Sky. Sapphires. Robin eggs. Many have tried to place the color of these eyes - but it's never quite right. They are a swirling kaleidoscope of luminous blues and silvers, stain-glass windows that allow you the briefest peek into his soul, intricate down to the tiniest glitter of Lapis Lazuli.

    pelt color ;
    tuxedo - white with an overlaying shade of black

    eye color ;
    a pale, misty blue

    scars/ markings ;
    he is pretty much spotless, save for a patch of fur missing from his tail-tip

    length ;
    the tom is long and lanky

    width ;
    he is mostly bones and fur, having a lean-muscled build

    {digging deeper}

    crush ;
    there's nobody for me
    mate ;
    no .... just, no
    kits ;
    none - why would you think that?
    kin ;
    dustedhawk

    personality ;
    Soulseeker ... there isn't a cat who'd have a bad word to say about him. He's a typically nice fellow - to those he knows. Easy-going, polite, welcoming. The social butter-fly of his Clan. He’s one who would sit down with the elders for hours just to let them tell him their stories, he would take his apprentice out to train, or to hunt, whenever they wanted to as long as it was a safe time. He is the cat who would talk to the queens to keep their delicate heads on their pretty little bodies. The warrior loves to talk, which can be annoying at times. He'll ramble on about the wild adventures he used to have during his life as a rogue, which haven't been proven as true stories. You wouldn't have much chance of asking Dustedhawk to verify the information. Soulseeker loves his brother, he looks up to him, even though he is the elder sibling. Perhaps this is because he is a little more carefree in life, whereas his littermate is more indifferent.

    Gullibility, that's his major flaw. It's easy to trick him, make him fall for all sorts of wild fantasies. Soulseeker isn't lacking in intelligence, far from it. He just finds it difficult to tell the difference between the truth and a lie. He'd be an easy victim to scam. Of course, no-one's tried it, else they'd face the wrath of his kin. It's like high-school, one could say. He's the geek, and Dustedhawk is his older brother, the jock. Only not as popular. Neither of them have a large group of friends. Even though Soulseeker is very sociable, he doesn't have any real friends. He simply fits in wherever he chooses to, and is accepted though not truly welcomed.

    You may think that's all there is to him. A charming, silver-tongued feline. Wrong. He is certainly a warrior, though perhaps not as noble as you'd assume. The past is not forgotten so easily. A few roguish qualities still cling to the tom. For instance, he isn't afraid to get down and dirty. If he can win a battle by fighting unfairly, then so be it. He is also a little, er, quick to judge. If new cats join the Clan, or anyone he doesn't know very well will be treated coldly. It is rather hypocritical of him, as he was accepted into AshClan without instantly being dismissed as untrustworthy. He needs to learn to give others a chance. Another trait of his is that he doesn't trust easily. You have to work to gain his friendship, if you're a new cat, and it is a perilous path to tread. It could go either way. If he doesn't like you very much, then good luck.

    other ;
    none <3

Gingerstripe tucked his body deep inside of his leaf-bed, the chills from the outside air seeping into his den. His long legs were pulled into his belly as tight as he could, the rest of his body coiling around them. Even his tail was wrapped around, resting on his snout. His sightless eyes had closed, and the only movements he had made in quite a long while was his sides heaving with every breath he took.
After a long while, his body relaxed, sprawling out across the mossy bed. He let out an immence yawn, blinking open his ivory green eyes. He saw nothing. This was usual for the blind tom. Being that he was born blind, he never saw anything but darkness. Sometimes, he would find himself hesitating to open his eyes, hoping that he would see light.
As soon as Gingerstripe rose to his paws, a light gust of wind whipped into his den and through his orange pelt. He almost leapt aside, but instead his whiskers twitched curiously and padded out to the opening of the den. He looked out, though seeing nothing, he could feel it all, better than any other sightful cat would. The wind blowing, the rain splattering his face, and the thumping of water onto the camp ground.
He let out a shiver from the cold air. Blasted rain. Most the herbs will be destroyed now. He let out a hiss below his breath, claw shethering and digging themselves into the wet soil beneath him. His tail lashed furiously, because now the rain had come down much harder, pelting his body with immense force.
Gingerstripe looked around at the awakening cats, whiskers twitching. I'll have Smokepaw go out and look for herbs. No way in Starclan am I going out in this weather.

Owlflight rocked back and forth on his paws, claws digging into the earth beneath him. His amber eyes were locked on a helpless mouse that was nibbing on a flower seed. His body was still, claws dug deep into the soil beneath him. His couch was low to the ground, belly brushing the forest floor, tail dangling just above it. The black and white tom crept slowly from the shade of a large bush, pawsteps silent.
Then, a drop of water splattered on his snout. Owlflight blinked, shaking it off and continuing his crawl forward. But another drop hit him, this time on his shoulder. The warrior frowned. Rain. Just what I needed... Of course, he was being sarcastic. Rain while hunting was the last thing any cat needed because just as it was doing now, it scared away prey.
The mouse had heard wter splatter beside him, and so it looked up into the skin. When a droplet of water fell onto it, it was soaked within seconds. And so, the mouse stuffed the seed into his mouth, shook out his small pelt, and dashed away. It didnt know it was being chased until Owlflight leapt from where he was hiding, paws thundering the wet forest floor as he sprinted after it. Rain poured down harder now, pelting his fur angrily. The warrior had to talk himself out of stopping. It's just water. No harm can come from it. The tom didnt believe this, because his father who had been the previous lader of Morningclan, Lightstar, had died during a flood. And his mother Brighteyes? She just passed two moons ago from falling into the harsh stream and being too old to pull herself out.
As more rain came down, it somehow managed to always find Owlflight and cling to his pelt, dragging him down in his chase. The mouse was smart, he would give it that. It was constantly ducking into bushes, leaping over logs, and hiding under leaves, well until Owlflight squeezed it out with his paw. However, as the tom guessed, the mouse must have seen a small opening in the bottom of a tree trunk, just small enough for it to pass through but not Owlflight. This crevace thouh, turned out to be a shadow coming off a bush and wth that Owlflight trapped it between himself and the tree trunk, killing it with a swift bite.

Cricketsong set the piece of kill down, settling herself to sit on her rump. SHe pulled both hr legs and tail close to her. The nursery wasnt any warmer than the warriors den. Actually, it was colder. There were so many warm sleeping bodies all stuffed inside the warriors den. In the nursery, there was only two.
Cricketsong shook her head, her bright eyes, ones inherited from her mother Brighteyes, clouding over with saddness. "No it seems." She paused for a second, eyes pleading as she asked, "You dont think Starclan are angry with us, do you? I mean this weather, the shortage of prey, the floods..." Her mind trailed off to her parents. Lightstar, the previous leader of Morningclan, had been her father. He had died in a flood a day after she and her brothers, Gingerstripe and Owlflight, were born, and two days after he had made the final decision to keep Morningclan in hiding. As for her mother Brighteyes, she died from falling into the creek and being too weak to pull herself out. The loss of food had gotten to her, considering she always fed her kits and any other cat before her.
Mintflurry had been a close friend of Brighteyes, so now that her mother was gone, Mintflurry had taken the position of the wiser she cat she could confind to, that cat she would always know would be open for talking with her about things she couldnt dream of talking about to her brothers.
Cricketsong dipped her head graciously. "Don;t meantion it. After all, I just didnt want to spoil good prey. So much has already gone to waste from the wretched rain."

Sparkstar padded from his den under the high rock, arching his back and stretching out his legs as far as they would let him. It wasnt until he heard that familiar pop that he relaxed, rasping his tonue across his whiskers. The pitter patter of the rain outside drew his attention, and he curiously padded out. His curiosity finally ceased when water slowly began to soak his brown tabby pelt. He drew backwards into the safety of his den, giving his pelt a quick shake.
The tom sat down, rasping his warm tongue down his chest fur to flatten it. Wrapping his tail around his broad paws, he watched the rain fall outside. The rain calmed him, made him at peace with his surroundings. For some strange reason, it made him forget of all the trouble Morningclan faced with Nightclan just around the river bend. It was... comforting.
It wasnt until he saw Rapidstrike padding towards his den that he whipped up enough courage to walk outside in the harsh weather. Morningclan must live on, inspite what Starclan thinks of us and our decision. It hadnt been more than a fewmoons ag, or so it seemed, that SParkstar's dear friend Lightstar had made the decision to keep Morningclan hidden, but soon after his decision he drowned in a flood much like this rain would case. I hope no cat gets injured.
Sparkstar chuckled at the tom's remark. "I'm afraid so. Seems that Starclan gets angrier with us every day. I mean, rain this harsh and cold in New-Leaf? They cant be serious." The noble leader fought hard to ignore the rain that stung him.

{{Mɪɴᴛғʟᴜʀʀʏ ᴀɴᴅ Bᴇᴇᴋɪᴛ}}

    Mintflurry's expression grew from friendly to serious as Cricketsong's first question arose. Her eyes danced over to her daughter for a moment, but Beekit was too enticed in the hare to pay attention. Looking back at the Warrior, the Queen began her response with a sigh and a shrug. "I'm no Medicine Cat, but maybe StarClan is planning something. Whether it be good or bad, I couldn't tell you. But, where there is darkness, light can always be found, so you shouldn't worry your pretty little head off too much." Mintflurry allowed her smile to grow back and warm the cold question that Cricketsong had asked her.

    It was nice seeing that Cricketsong had grown mature enough to reasonably think of questions such as this. Mintflurry could recall when the she-cat and her brothers had been brought into this world by her dear friend Brighteyes. Though the she-cat had passed on only a few moons ago, the same pride shone in Cricketsong's eyes that had shone in those of Brighteyes. The brown and white she-cat did miss her friend, and seeing the eyes of her deceased friend in the eyes of her friend's daughter brought a nostalgic feeling for days when they would spend training together and overall growing up with one another, nearly as close as littermates.

    But, she digressed from such thoughts and again listened to the tabby Warrior speak. "Well no matter. Once the rain stops, we, being the Clan, can resume our daily tasks with the only problem being a dirty pelt. Besides," Mintflurry paused, looking over at Beekit with gleaming pride and a bit of disgust as the tabby she-kit tore apart another piece of hare, "it's due for Beekit to become an Apprentice. You'll have another feline to help out around this place and all will be well. If you weren't already training Snakepaw, I would hope that you would mentor her, but I expect her to still learn from you, even if you won't be her mentor." It was a sad thought, though. Mintflurry would've liked to see how well she could mentor another through the growing talents that Beekit would soon develop and harness as she grew older.

[[Sɴᴀᴋᴇᴘᴀᴡ]]

    A spark of accomplishment prevailed as Applepaw retreated back into the den, making Snakepaw grin wider in self-achievement. Staring out of the den one last time, the gray and black Tomcat let his expression fall in distaste of the chilling water that freely fell from the sky. Turning around, he trudged back into the still cold, but warmer than outside den. Catching what Applepaw had said as she stepped further into the den, body dripping and leaving a visible trail of water that flung off of her, he rolled his eyes, "That's what you get for waking me up, Applepaw. Your constant moving around all night was such a nuisance, it even woke me up." The tone he used was stern, but more complaining above all. He wasn't particularly mad at the she-cat, more so bothered. But in the end, he sat down in front of her and continued to listen to her speak.

    "The last thing we need is to get sick. But you're right, I don't know /what/ you guys would do without me. After all, I /am/ pretty amazing and me being sick and unable to work would just be devastating. I know you'd miss me the most if I were to lay around the Medicine Cat's den sick all day and night," he chimed, laying on a dramatic voice to lace around his words and bind them with tossing his head up and off to the side. Almost immediately, Snakepaw busted into a brawl of laughter. He honestly didn't care if he woke the others, they should've been up already. Calming down after a moment, he smiled once again and sighed. His chest hurt from the laughing fit, but what did it matter? He was happy, and he was able to bother someone he talked to often; maybe he could consider someone a friend. Though he didn't know much about the Apprentice personally, she was fun to mess with.

    Snakepaw grew puzzled. The once bright look that Applepaw had possessed previously vanished after a moment of silence from the she-cat. His brow rose, examining the Apprentice and ignoring her offer to play a game inside the den where they'd be warm and safe. Something was wrong, that's no assumption or guess. Snakepaw flicked an ear, "...Right. A game. How about we play a different game? I say we take turns telling stories."

    {Hey Deffs, did you want me to reply with Smokepaw? I wasn't sure if I should or not}

Cricketsong dipped her head solomly, her bright blue eyes clouding over. Mintflurry's words made absolute sense; she was no medicine cat. She was just a meer queen as Cricketsong was just one of many warrior cats.
Mintflurry's smile was warming. It gave Cricketsong the comfort she needed. If she were still an apprentice, she would have scrambled over to the she cat, tucked herself deep into her thick pelt, and nuzzled in and searched for that warmth like she were a tiny kit again. In truth, that was what she had done, along with Owlflight of course, Gingerstripe had too much pride to do so. Apparently, "A medicine cat, or future medicine cat, should weep in the presence of others. Especially if the cat were a tom." That was her brother.
Owlflight on the otherhand was always te cheerful one; he was the one to put on a goofy grin and prance about, making others laugh with him. He was good to have around when you felt like bawling your eyes out, but he wasnt too good to have when the situation required a serene attitude and a good effort. Sure he was a hard working cat, but sometimes he got a little carried away with trying to make others laugh.
"Yes, I almost forgot how much Beekit's grown!" Cricketsong immediatly changed the expression and tone of her voice, her sky blue eyes flickering to beam down at Beekit's ivory green ones. Cricketsong glanced up at Mintflurry, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Thanks, but I'm sure there are many more warriors who she would learn more from. I'm positive Sparkstar will assign her the greatest mentor he could possibly think would suit her best."

They cant be serious." The noble leader fought hard to ignore the rain that stung him.

rapidstrike ;;

Rapidstrike nodded his head solemnly to his leader's words, scanning thoughtfully over them in his mind. Starclan had been more than angered at Morningclan ever since they made the decision to live in the forest, crouching in the shadows to hide from Nightclan. It was a hard life, trying to keep your whole clan protected from another. Rain was just an addition to the horrors. Their late leader had been killed during a flood that had occurred during a heavy rain such as this. Letting out a large huff of breath, Rapidstrike turned his eyes towards the sky where spotted bullets came thundering down; constant and determined. The air was mixed with an icy-chill, the clan wasn't fit enough to do anything about the diseases that may be caused. Nightclan and Morningclan had to join together, or something of the sort. Morningclan couldn't survive like this for much longer. "Nightclan needs to know about us." he spoke his thoughts aloud, turning his eyes to Sparkstar. Sighing, he pondered his words silently. Difficulties are defiantly ahead.. Will we survive?

{{Mɪɴᴛғʟᴜʀʀʏ ᴀɴᴅ Bᴇᴇᴋɪᴛ}}

    Beekit glanced up at Cricketsong and almost at the exact same time, the Warrior looked down at her. She flashed a smile at the tabby before pushing away the rest of the hare that she hadn't already devoured to give to her mother. Though not exactly aware of what was going on, the kit plopped herself closer to the older she-cats, ears up and attentive. What are they talking about? She wondered, examining both Cricketsong and Mintflurry. They both talked like old friends, which they were, but something more. What else connected them together? Beekit wasn't ever too sure on details, and she didn't remember a whole lot of her younger moons when she was born into this world.

    When the Queen mentioned her Apprentice ceremony, Beekit smiled and leapt up, kneading her paws against the ground. "I'm gonna become the best Warrior ever!" She exclaimed, prancing about the two she-cats and weaving around and sometimes through their legs. "I'll be the best hunter, the best fighter, and I'll be the most helpful. /I'll/ be the greatest Warrior this Clan has ever seen! Even better than Snakepaw says he'll be." Beekit had obviously been hearing too many stories from the Tom lately. Though, she did wish that Cricketsong could be her mentor. The tabby she-cat was like a sister to her, or an aunt, whichever came first. But nonetheless, she would like to be able to train with her sometime.

    ---

<<Sᴍᴏᴋᴇᴘᴀᴡ>>

    A single drip of icy water, fallen from a crack in the den roof, was like an alarm clock to wake up. With a shake of his head, followed by rubbing his paw against his nose to warm it back up, Smokepaw finally realized how cold it was inside the den. Looking around, he had to make sure he wasn't outside, which he wasn't. Why is it so cold? That was a stupid question that the Tom still asked himself. Turning his head to look towards the den entrance, Smokepaw saw two things: one, there was a chilling rainstorm blustering outside. And two, his mentor, Gingerstripe, had perched himself at the entrance of the den, allowing the rain to beat against him as he gazed out sightlessly.

    Smokepaw had never really minded having a blind cat as a mentor, but it was a bit weird. If it wasn't for the Tom's good sense of smell, he probably wouldn't be the Medicine Cat and instead, either a blind and bumbling Warrior or just a mere elder in the den with Ridgeberry. The lanky ash-striped Medicine Cat Apprentice rose from his nest that he had made out of stray feathers and moss in the back of the den, away from where Gingerstripe slept and away from the potent, and sometimes nose-burning, herbs. "Gingerstripe?" called Smokepaw warily, carefully walking forward to meet up with his mentor. "Would you like me to put up some extra barriers, Sir? We don't need the herbs getting damaged from the outside winds."

Gingerstripe blinked his sightless eyes, glancing over his shoulder at his apprentice, Smokepaw. "Oh, well sure. I'll assist you. We could use the dead bramble bushes that lay by the camp enterance." He rose to his paws slowly.

Cricketsong glanced at Mintflurry, shrugging her shoulders. She lowered the front half ofher body o put herself at the same height as Beekit. "Oh really? Is that so? Well, a true warrior can fight. Can you?" Cricketsong leapt forward, gentley tossing Beekit backwards to land on her back, pinning her to the ground. "Get out of this one, Beekit!"

Sparkstar narrowed his deep ivory eyes, clentching his jaw together tightly. "You do realize that once Nightclan realizes we are still in exhistance, that we have fooled and manipulated them until we have grown back in numbers, they will be as angry as ever. They will fight until they are sure we are dead. If we stay hidden, we can stay alive."
