Merlin saw everyone just walking around, somewhat forming a group, so he decided to join them and see what's going on. When he met up with a girl, who had long blonde-brown hair, he spoke up. "Do you know where we are?" He still was a little dazed from the sun, but now that he was walking around, he was more focused.


Sapphire got up slowly and looked around the beach. All the other kids were gathering around, so she decided to join them. Not saying anything, she stood by them waiting for someone to speak up. Terrified of being the first to speak, she just took note of all the other people. There was 3 boys and 4 girls, but after looking around she discovered the 4th boy. It felt really weird, just standing there; everyone not knowing a single thing of what as happening.


Hunter looked around, spotting other kids. "Good, at least I am not alone." He mumbled to himself, brushing off some more sand. He spotted a boy, about his age, just sitting on the sand so he walked over there. "Hey." Hunter said when he was next to him, smiling. If though they were in a horrible situation that didn't even relate to smiling, the kid looked like he needed a bit of cheering up. "I'm Hunter. Hunter Lewis."


Sierra watched the other kids move to form some sort of group, and decided to join them. Slowly, she moved with the other humans towards the sort of group. Sand had slipped into her sneakers, so she paused a moment to move her toes around a little. She didn't know how long she had been out, but it felt like days.

Hayley stood a little off from the group,not wanting to speak to anyone but wanting to find out where they were and how they had gotten here.Wondering if all of the teenagers standing in the little group had gone through the same things,she looked around at each face,not recognizing any of them.Biting her lip she waiting in silence to see what would happen,playing with the strings on her hoodie,refusing to make eye contact with anyone.

Shannon stood beside a blonde haired girl,who he reckoned was about fifteen,with his arms crossed over his chest.He looked around the group of eight.He sighed quietly,in annoyance and disbelief that they had all ended up on this random island which was practically in the middle of nowhere.Thinking back to the last thing he had being doing before he was knocked out,Shannon remembered he was just walking back home from a friends house.

Joanna stopped beside a guy who was noticeably taller and older than her.In answer to his question she just shook her head,sighing."I wish I knew...",She trailed off looking into the dense forest behind them.The scrapes and cuts on her legs from where she had attacked the box began to sting slightly.Bending down she rubbed them,frowning.

Josh looked up at the kid,not smiling.The guy looked around the same age and seemed friendly enough."Josh Burton",He replied half smiling.Secretly,he was glad that Hunter had came over to talk to him.Josh was missing his friends and family already,most likely everyone else on the stupid island.Josh stood up and wiped the sand off the back of his jeans.

Merlin looked at the girl, not really knowing what to do. She obviously had the same amount of knowledge about this place as he and everyone else did. Looking down at her legs, he warned her. "Be careful rubbing it can sometimes make it worse. You need to find fresh water."



Sapphire slowly back out of the crowd, and started wandering the beach a little. "Where are we?" She mumbled to herself, reaching down to grab a shell from the sand. Shifting the shell around his her hands, she rubbed off all the sand. Putting it in her pocket for later, she headed back to the group to see if anything changed.



Hunter nodded his head. "Nice to meet you Josh. Come on, we might as well go find out where the heck we are." He almost laughed out loud when he thought of what his brother would be doing if he was here; running around and screaming till someone murders him. Shaking his head clear of Alex, he cluttered around the others, waiting for someone to make a move.



Sierra started to get annoyed when everyone just stood there doing and saying nothing. She stood up straight and spoke, "Since we clearly don't know each other, we might as well start introductions. Rather than standing around waiting for nothing." She could tell that most of the kids were older than her, maybe even she was the youngest, but that didn't stop her; only a few times it does.

Hayley frowned and didn't speak.She continued playing with her hoodie in silence,waiting for someone else to speak.The sound of the waves easily coming ashore and leaving again filled her ears.She decided to concentrate on that before speaking.

Shannon then spoke up."You,my little friend,have got a point there",he said his accent coming through.He smirked at her."Well,why don't I take the pleasure in starting us off?I'm Shannon Sheridan and I'm seventeen",he chuckled darkly then sat down on the rock behind him,waiting for the next person to speak.

Jo stopped rubbing and straightened up.After the guy called Shannon finished speaking,she shot him a skeptical glance."Umm,well I'm Joanna,or Jo,Smith.I'm fourteen",She said wiping some sand off her t-shirt as she spoke.After she had spoken,Jo looked around waiting for the next person to speak.

Josh nodded and followed Hunter towards the group,where Shannon had just introduced himself.Josh turned his attention to the girl with long,blonde hair who was speaking now,introducing herself.When she was finished Josh looked around to see if anyone else was going to speak.Once sure no-one was,Josh introduced himself."I'm Josh Burton.Fifteen".

Merlin called out and introduced himself next. "I am Merlin Richards, and I am 17." Sighing, he looked around the group. So far there was a Shannon, a Joanna, and a Josh. He kicked some sand behind him; because no one was standing behind him; and waited for the next person to talk. Everyone seemed fidgety, mainly because everyone was away from home and knew nothing about the people next to them.


Sapphire looked up, listening to each person say their name and age. "I'm Sapphire, or Sara, Grimes and I am almost 16." Satisfied that everyone heard her, she went back to inspecting the shell she found. She knew everyone would have to work together, doing that they do best, to find a way out of this place.



Hunter waited for his turn and introduced himself. "I'm Hunter Lewis. And I am 15." Hunter stopped playing with his shirt once he finished talking, and looked over to the girl you have gotten everyone to talk. When she did finish talking, he could tell she was nervous, just by the way she was moving and playing with her hands. Shaking his head, he turned to the last person, waiting for them to introduce herself.



Sierra nodded her head, listening to every person talk. "I'm Sierra Lord and I'm 13." She knew she was the youngest, the only person who hadn't talked didn't even look around her age; maybe 15 or 16. Looking away shyly, she bit her lip; waiting for the next person to make their move. Undoing her bandanna, she started twisting them around in her hands, keeping herself busy and from being nervous.

Hayley looked up and noticed most of the people in the group staring at her."Uh...I'm Hayley Reynolds.I'm sixteen",she said then looked down at her shoes and began digging at the sand,trying not to make eye contact with anyone in the group.She didn't want to really trust the others but also knowing that she would have to accept the fact that she would have to trust these people soon enough to escape this island.

Shannon frowned at the shy girl who called herself Hayley.He then looked around the group,trying to remember and name each face.Successfully,he named each.Shaking his head,with a confused expression he asked,"What know?",even though he already half knew the answer he would get.

Joanna shrugged again,frowning."I don't know",she answered Shannon's stupid question."Should we make a shelter now or something?",She asked looking around the group.After saying that she leaned against a tree that was situated behind her.The thoughts of what may be on that tree made her stand up straight again and grimace.

Josh didn't answer Shannon's nor Joanna's question.He was looking around the group of acquaintances,taking notes of their names and age.He repeated this until he was certain he had memorized everyone's name.Picking up a stone off the sand,Josh began twirling it around in his hand,preoccupying himself.

Merlin shook his head, disagreeing with Joanna. "We can survive without shelter for a while, we could use the crate to make something. It's important we find water. We can last a while without food, but not long without water. Shelter is important but we will die without water." Finishing talking, he looked over at Hunter who looked like he was dying to say something.



Sapphire looked up at Shannon, when he asked a question that was already going through her mind and maybe everyone's mind. She nodded her head with Joanna; completely agreeing with her; but before she could add anything, the boy named Merlin then Hunter started to talk.



Hunter perked up, standing up straight. After waiting for Merlin to finish, he spoke up. "I agree with you Merlin, but we don't know whats out there. I can make shelters! Since its about noon," he said, looking up at the sun which was blazing directly above them. "We might be able to make 4 small lean-to type of shelters." Grabbing a stick, he started drawing in the sand of an example, "Like this." He pointed down at the drawing he made, waiting to see other people's ideas.



Sierra listened closely to the boy named Hunter, but wasn't close enough to see his drawing. Anyway, it wasn't her choice of if it would go or not, she's the youngest in this group. She was very good at plants and animals, but didn't speak up yet; she wanted everyone else to say something first. She had enough of attention for now; which is fine for her because sometimes she can get bad stage-fright.




(Quick question- can they find another crate that has a pair of wimpy clothing for everyone and a note? Please! i have something for the note. Then for the clothing, they would have something to change into when their other outfit are drying/being cleaned.)

Hayley listened and watched everything intently,not wanting to have any input.She walked over to Sierra,glancing at the drawing on her way past.Sighing,she stood a little behind Sierra,watching the rest of the group decide what was going to happen.Hayley looked into the dense forest,out to the ocean and back to the group.

Shannon got up and walked over to where Hunter was drawing.He looked at the drawing and nodded to show he approved."Looks good",He said examining the drawing."Would you be able to use the wood from the crates to make them?",He asked,eying up the damaged boxes.

Jo watched and listened to Hunter,giving him her full attention.When Shannon spoke she turned to look at him."Maybe we could find some fallen trees or something in the forest too?",she pipped in looking from Hunter,to Shannon,to Merlin,to Sapphire.

Josh nodded,but said nothing.He looked up at the sun.The heat of the sun had either eased off or they had become used to it.Shrugging he turned his attention back to the group and looked around,wondering what they were going to do next.

Hunter thought about it for a moment. "I might be able to break them up to pieces and weave them in the bigger sticks for more protection. Or we could use them for other things." Nodding his head towards Jo, he added. "We need a standing branch for the base then one for the long for the 'stem' of it. The different sizes to fill it in." Shaking his head, and kicking the other drawing he was trying, he added another thing. "Since they kinda are tight, we would need to make about 4."



Merlin listened to the forest, seeing if there were any animals there. If there were animals, they would have to get fresh water somewhere. Looking at Hunter's drawing, they would have to build them close to water but far enough away in case something happens. He thought about something, when while Shannon and Hunter took a break on talking, he spoke up. "Can anyone do a loud whistle or call?"



Sapphire looked closely at Shannon, decided that he would most likely would be the leader of this group. Turning to Merlin, she liked his way of thinking; it was different than Shannon's. Together, they would be a good leader; but they have completely different focuses. After hearing Merlin's random question, she shook her head and went on thinking. After a little thinking, she realized that is kinda important. So if they ever have to split up, they could have to people who can make a loud call or whistle and then we would be able to locate each other again.




Sierra nodded her head at Merlin, speaking up. "I can howl really loud!" Without asking anyone if they wanted to hear it, she started howling exactly like a wolf; which is extremely loud. She turned her attention away from the group when she was done, and let her eyes wander. She kept staring at something, but didn't really realize she was. When she finally realized what she was looking at, she gasped. "Guys. Why would they bring an odd number of people? All of us are out and that..." She said, pointing to another crate that was half hidden by rocks. "...one hasn't come out." She didn't need to be told, either the person in that is dead and there's another crate somewhere or that has something about why they are here.

Hayley turned to look at the crate.The thought of someone dead in the crate made her swallow hard."Y'all don't think there really is someone in there,do you?",she asked quietly,speaking voluntarily for the first time,her gaze not moving from the wooden box.She bit her lip and stayed where she was.

Shannon looked over his shoulder at Hayley and Sierra,he followed there gaze and stiffened.He straightened out and looked over at the crate."Hell no",he muttered under his breathe,far too low for anyone to hear.He walked up to it and checked for cracks in the wood."There's not cracks or anything in it",He announced deciding if he should open it or leave it.

Jo watched from where she was standing not wanting to get any closer to the crate then where she was now,just in case."Is anyone in it Shannon?Can you tell?",she asked a little worried.She wasn't reassured by Shannon answering with a shrug of confusion.

Josh stayed beside Jo,also watching,with the same question running through his head as everyone else.He hoped and prayed that if Shannon and Merlin did open it,the least that would fall out of it was a crab or two.
