Buck chuckled. "Give him ome time. He might change, you never know."

"I have no family" Retto said, hiding his emotions. "Wanna fight?"

"He probably will like his ancestor Buckler who he is an identical image of," the general nodded in agreement.

"If yu want to," Tambo nodded.

Buck nodded understandably.

Retto stood up and picked up the sword. "Let's fight!"

Tambo leapt up and held his sword forward, one hand behind his back. "Ready."

"Did you meet Lord Atlas at Salamandstron?" Earthpaw asked.

"Of course" Buck grinned. "We all know each other over there."

Retto put a paw behind his back and struck out at Tambo.

"He's been at Salamandstron all the time I've been there, getting a bit old but still strong," the general smiled.

Tambo deflected the blow and feinted to the right before striking left.

"I know. He's a good one there. He's like a father to me. One I never had."

Retto laughed and blocked the attack then struck again.

Tambo smiled slightly and jumped backwards before striking again, moving his sowrd in a figure of eight.

"I need to go back to Salamandstron soon, but before patrolling takes a long time and we had to make some visits for Atlas, like to redwall and a couple of retired hare warriors."

"Well, I can always go back and get a better and bigger boat for all of us" the badger said. "It'll be here by the time you're back here."

Retto blocked the 8 and grinned. "You're a good fighter."
