[The Wolfe]

Retto smirked and backed up. "When I say, get in a tree" he whispered and picked up some sand. "Hey, Fatso. Wanna see a magic trick?" he asked and picked up some sand.

Drift quickly shed her cloak so she wore only her belt and skirt. She was only visible because of the flickering firelight. Slowly she made her way towards the trees and shot to one which seemed easy enough to climb.

"Glokk, leave this one to me," the toad said angrily and hopped forward

Retto laughed. "Just at fat as each other" he said and attempted to make the sand poof up so that he could climb the nearest tree. The 'trick' failed and he rolled his eyes. "Dingers" he mumbled and held his sword, ready to fight.

Drift scrabbled up the tree and got out her sling. As she saw that Retto would have to fight the toads she had an idea, they were near Salamandstron. "Redwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll," she suddenly called out at the top of her voice, hoping to catch the attention of the long patrol if they were nearby.

The toad stabbed at otter with his trident, angry that the otter had insulted him and his kind.

Retto blocked the attaack with the sword. "Back off, slimey" he growled.

Drift saw that another toad was approaching behind Retto and chose a particulary big stone for her sling. She shot it off and the toad flipped over as it got hit under the chin. "Redwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall," Drift shouted again.

The toad stabbed again to the right, they weren't good fighters and usually won by trickery or numbers.

Retto looked behind him and smirked, turning back to the toad he was fighting. Once again, the otter blocked the attack. "I said back off!" he snarled.

A lone badger who'd just rowed over from Salamandstron heard Drift's call and jumped out. He ran towards the call and saw a lot of toads surrounding an otter. His top lip curled and ran towards them, shouting his call (dunno what it is) and wielding his sword.

A badger lord, Drift thought and smiled to herself, not many creatures could stand up to a badger. She loaded her sling and began to send more stones at the toads.

"You insulted us! Now you will die," the toad replied, striking with a downwards blow. All the other toads looked around as they heard the badger and immediately a few began to hop towards him

"Never!" Retto snarled and began to strike back with his own attacks.

The badger snarled and struck out at the toads.

"Get the badger!" one toad began to shout but then got knocked out by a well placed stone of Drift's

The toad managed to defend himself and struck back after egtting one cut near his eye.
