War has been threatening us for years now...Standing at our door like some shadowy omen. It's reason...An underlying feud, festering for all these years, ready to boil over into bloody battle. A hatred that is set between two lines of royalty, the Lamias and the Ashdowns. Both of them are races of 'Kirin' as they call themselves, and both share an equal sense of animosity toward each other.

This is my life...It is not fair...But, when was it ever?

I am Fenrir Ashdown, prince of my kingdom. I would say that the reason for the feud was just, and made sense, but that would be a lie. This feud ruining my life, and I fear that if my father does decide to go to war, I will be thrown into it. I don't want blood to be spilled on account of my family, and I certainly don't want war and bloodshed to become my legacy.

Plotline:

The kingdoms: Vrail and Serula
The royal families: Lamia and Ashdown
Basically, this feud has been going since the current Kings and Queens were on the throne. It has to do with a betrayal between the previous kingdoms. The two kingdoms are those of Kirin, humanoids with animal features that can live up to five hundred years, and tend to stop aging visibly around twenty five years. We have the senses of whatever animal we're mixed with, and we only fall in love once, forever. There aren't really specific types of Kirin, since if you had two parents that were feline Kirin, you could still end up with bird features, for example, my grandparents were lion Kirin...I'm a dog.

Anyway, I've been sneaking out with a few of my friends at night, going out and just having fun. We've been wandering farther and farther from the castle every night, straying from the borders without a thought of what the consequences might be, but I know we're going to get in trouble at some point.

My Characters
Image
Name(First and Last):: Fenrir Ashdown
Kingdom:: Vrail
Position(King, guard, etc.):: Prince
Gender:: Male
Age:: 17
Type of Kirin:: White Dog
Personality:: Fenrir is a rather malicious and clever spirit. He hates anything girly, although the length of his hair says differently. He has a temper, but it's not easily brought out. Fen is loyal and protective, but is not one to fall in love easily. He can be like a lost puppy sometimes, and follow the example of others without really meaning it, like following his father's feud like he means it, and he's even convinced himself that he has. Fenrir can be rather stubborn and headstrong, most of the time unafraid to harm someone. He is skilled with a sword, although he never really has need to use one, his father insisted that he have lessons so he'd be ready if those 'filthy Lamias decided to storm the castle'.
Quick History:: Fenrir was born the son of royalty, and treated as such. He learned to bear the pampering and fussing though, otherwise he'd just get comments from his father's friends about how he was 'such a rebellious child.' Around the age of five, he learned of his father's feud, and started to form his own hatred of the other family, although it wasn't as deep seated as his parents'. He grew up and became a handsome young man, with rich family friends trying to arrange marriages for their daughters with him, but the thing was, he didn't love any of them, which proved a problem since they were running out of options.
Other:: None at the moment.

Blue's Characters

Name(First and Last):: Bambi Lamia
Kingdom:: Serula
Position:: Princess
Gender:: Female
Age:: 16
Type of Kirin:: Blue-gray Hare
Personality:: Somewhat stubborn, yet considerate most of the time if she isn't ready to choke someone. Her movements match her thoughts; quick, cautious, alert, and often making split second decisions as though she had been thinking about them for a few minutes or more. Her mind just tends to work rather quickly, as well as the rest of her. Agility is her greatest forte, strength not so much.
This is why she carries a bow, but does have a small dagger for emergencies, and carries no sword or axe. She is brave hearted, and one who never likes to admit defeat on important matters, though losing a game... not so much. However, when she is calm and not facing some sort of threat or person she does not like, she is generally happy and gentle, worthy of her name as well as the position she holds.
Quick History:: Her parents were, though not shocked, somewhat... interested that their daughter was a bunny, when they were really more expecting a canine, or even feline, just something... stronger. But as she grew her nobility and the fact that she had royal blood in her veins was clear. So they were not really disappointed, though her brother before her often picked on her. He soon changed his tune however, as she could run circles around him, and often would scare the daylights out of him when she got old enough to plan such scare tactics.
Her brother was always more interested in her parents feud than her, though she was fully aware of it. But she preferred riding her trusty stallion over being taught her duties if they were to attack the castle, to flee if the battle went wrong and where to go. It was too depressing, and her horse almost seemed to agree with her when she talked to him about it. They often ride together, as they have for a number of years, across the land around her kingdom, and sometimes a bit too close to the other kingdom's grounds for comfort.
Other:: Her stallion's name is Thunderdrum, and he is an intelligent and large, gray and black horse who has been her freind and one of the few she actually talked to openly for years.

{...Wow...Your art is...AWESOME! Better than anything I could do X3 Well, let's get started then :D}

~**Fenrir Ashdown~~*

Sunlight streamed in through the long, tall window, blazing against Fenrir's eyelids. He groaned and rolled away from the offensive light, covering his head with his pillow. "No,no young master...You've got to get up." Cooed a voice behind him, an older woman's voice. Fenrir felt the pillow being pulled away, then he was lifted into a sitting position. "Alright, alright Yuri...I'm up." He grumbled, stretching his arms above his head while exhaling. He rubbed one of his eyes, then yawned and looked down off to his left. There she was, his nursemaid, who he insisted he was too old to have. Then again, he was only seventeen, and most of his kind live years more, so he was very young to an older Kirin. "Let's get you dressed, then you can go down to breakfast with your parents." The old maid said, patting him on the back. "Alright..." Fenrir answered, swinging his legs off he bed and sliding to the floor. He was quite a bit taller than Yuri, although she was older, she only appeared a few years older than Fenrir, but in truth, she was actually around three hundred years old. The maid appeared to be only twenty five years of age, and she had long red hair. She also had a pair of similarly colored wings on her back, and her feet were bird-like.

Fenrir strode over to his dresser and opened one of the drawers, seeking one of his favorite shirts. Ah, there it was. He pulled out the neatly ironed white shirt, button-down, with a higher collar. Along with it, he chose a black vest with a dark silver paisley pattern. "I'll get myself dressed today, Yuri, but thank you anyway." Fenrir said as the made started forward to help him dress. She nodded, then bowed, "I'll head down to your parents then, if you don't mind, master." She said. "Of course." Fenrir answered, and watched as she walked out of the room. The Kirin sighed and pulled on the shirt, then a pair of white leggings, over which be put on a pair of pants that were long enough to reach his knees, and were closed at the ends. He pulled on the vest and quickly but neatly buttoned it. After that, he pulled on a pair of black leather boots, and inspected himself in the mirror. Right, now all he had to do was brush 'that wild mane he called his hair', as his father had put it. He sighed and grabbed a brush from his bedside table, then proceeded to gently bring it through his hair, walking over to the window and gazing out. People mulled around the courtyard of the castle, probably waiting for an audience with his parents. The Kirin turned away from the window, finishing with the brush, which he tossed on his bed. He pulled his hair back and tied it off with a black ribbon, which matched his vest.

Well, time to go down to breakfast...

((Awww, thank you so much, it was rushed and my tablet is hanging on by it's last thread of life, but I couldn't find any pictures I wanted so I made my own ^w^
Now, let's see if I can't write a few paragraphs now that I have the chance~))

A blue-gray ear twitched underneath the covers of a bed, but then drooped again like the other matching ear. However, they both perked again a little upon hearing knocking on the door of the large room, and something like the sound of a yawn escaped from under the covers as whatever else was under it also moved a bit too.
"Princess, please get up, your breakfast is almost ready."
"I'm up..." came a muffled sound, but when there was yet another knock on the door, the head that the ears were attached to appeared as well. "I'm awake!" she said again, loud enough for the speaker through the door to hear, as they ceased knocking. With a few blinks of her pale indigo colored eyes, she was in fact awake, and slipped out from under her covers like a rabbit emerging from it's burrow. A fluffy and short white and blue-gray tail was poked through a small hole for it to fit through her night grown, matching her ears in color.
With a bounce to her step, she quickly hopped about the room, changing, struggling to wash her wash, get dressed, and fix her pale silver-ish colored hair the way she wished, as upon her request she no longer had a maid and did not think the trouble was required of one.
At last opening the door to her room wearing a white and blue dress, the guard who had told her to awaken, and whom was also her body guard, bowed. He had a pair of small, ovular ears, as well as having a bulky build, and his hair was short and dark gray, but not just from age. However his being older showed by the deep creases in his face when he smiled or made other expressions. At his side was a large, double-edged battle axe, his tail was skinny with a tough of hair on the end that was the same color as his hair, and the you could tell simply by looking at his skin that it was tough. He was a Rhino Kirin, and though no horn came from his head naturally, his helm was shaped to have a spike in the center front of it.
"Good morning milady," he said in greeting, and was certainly the same rough but not threatening voice that had come through the door a few minutes before. "The same to you Reno," the Hare Kirin replied with a smile. She had known him since she could remember, as he had always been her sworn protector, and through being so had become like an uncle even though he was not blood. Rarely did he leave her side, except when she went out riding, of which he could not keep up mostly because horses did not get along well with him. But other than that, he was by or near enough to protector her twenty-four seven.
"Any idea what's for breakfast?"
"Hmm, not really, Bambi, but I believe the maid mentioned something involved carrots..." At this she giggled in response, while he only smiled lightly before the two walked away from the room and on down the long, decorated hall.

"Yuri? I thought you'd gone down to breakfast..." Fenrir said, walking over to the door. He opened it quickly to see the nursemaid behind it, smiling. "Ah, that nose of yours, young master...Always gets me." She said with a laugh. "I've been told to lead you down...Your parents would like to discuss some...Important matters with you." She said, her voice a bit hesitant. "Important matters, eh?" The dog Kirin asked, walking down the hall after her. "Any idea what they are?" He asked. "No, but your mother was in such an odd mood this morning, and your father...well...he was acting like he always does." The maid answered, turning to walk down a spiraling flight of stairs. "Arrogant and lush?" Fenrir said, referring to his father's mood. "As always." The maid laughed. Ah, the king did enjoy his position, along with some brandy or wine, usually during the day.

Fenrir smirked, then straightened his collar as they neared the dining hall. He honestly didn't think it was necessary to have a whole hall devoted to eating. He didn't even eat all that often, sometimes he skipped lunch or dinner to catch up on his training, which his instructor didn't entirely approve of, but that was his problem. Fenrir cleared his throat, then pushed the doors to the dining hall open and strode inside, glancing around as he did so. The place was rather beautiful, and some of the artwork in it, in his opinion, belonged in a cathedral, not a room that royalty had their meals in. It had vaulted ceilings, covered with one expansive painting of angels in the clouds. Some of them had other animal features, besides wings, some only had wings and perhaps bird feet. The windows were tall, reaching almost to the floor, not quite touching the ceiling. The diningware used here were made purely of silver and gold, and the dining table and chairs were imported from one of the human countries.

Fenrir made his way down the length of the table. His parents were not here yet, probably waiting until he'd settled down before they came in and discussed these 'important matters' with him. He sighed, pulling out one of the elegant chairs and seating himself. The velvety fabric of the seat and back were wonderful. He couldn't begin to imagine how they made the stuff. There wasn't any food out yet, so all he could really do was wait...Wait here to hear this news and to satiate his hunger. This was going to get rather boring, wasn't it?

The princess, apparently named Bambi, hummed a little as she walked along next to the hefty Rhinoceros Kirin beside, but still a little behind, her. Unlike many Princesses were expected to do, her walk was not a glide, and even though she was not skipping, she still had a small bounce in her step as she carried on. Reno had fallen silent as he was more often than not, though his mouth still hinted toward a smile, and due to his weight of each of his footsteps they were easily heard by the hare Kirin.
They passed two of many pillars that reached from the floor to the ceiling, partially as extra support and partly for looks. A tapestry hung here and there, as well as a painting or sculpture of her past ancestors, and then there were the windows that had their curtains pulled to the side to let in the morning light that filled the rooms and hallways. Placed in the center of nearly every hall was a rug, generally blue lined with gray or white that matched much of the marble and stones of the castle's floors and walls.

Just as they were almost to the dining room, and her guard walked forward to open one of the double doors for her, a voice behind her said, "Good morning," in a very cold and chilling tone, which made her jump forward and almost shriek in fright(she did just a little though) due to having not known anyone was behind her. Reno spun around immediately, battle axe in-hand before you could say 'rhino', and his dark eyes alert, eyebrows lowered. However, he then exhaled, frowning, and returned it to his side.
"Bane you sneaky rat!" Bambi chattered angrily, while the person who had startled her just started snickering. His ears were sharp and pointed, his black hair combed back and slick, while his tail of matching color to his hair and ears swished back and forth. The black wolf Kirin's gold colored has flashed in amusement as well. "You should've seen yourself jump.~"
"And you aught to be a bit more careful Prince, one of these days you're going to do that and I might accidentally swig at you before I realized who you were..." Reno grumbled inaudibly, even to the royal children's ears, before opening the door as he had intended to to begin with.
Bambi continued to glare at her older brother, but with the comment, "You better watch your back, this means payback is due..." turned and bounded through the open door into the long dining room. He only smiled, one of the unpleasant sort, and walked past Reno without some much as an apology to him.
The rhinoceros Kirin said nothing to him, as he was royality and above him, however, if it ever were to come down to a fight between him and his sister, he would always side with, and fight for, her without hesitation.

While eating Bambi completely ignored her brother, and Reno stood silently behind her chair without a word. Often he was forgotten to even be there. But there he was, as usual and as was his duty to guard her at all times, and now his desire to as well. The princess ate, and her mother and father noticed the silence between the siblings, but it happened often and they had grown used to it, and the family ate for the most part in quiet.

Fenrir sighed and leaned back into the soft cloth of his chair. His ears perked, and his eyes flicked over to the doors as the opened again, this time pushed apart by two burly men. One was a tiger Kirin, the other a horse. After a moments hesitation, two people garbed in rather gaudy looking clothing strode through the doors. Behind them twirled a little girl, and a slightly taller boy who looked a bit annoyed by the girl. "Morning Mother, Father." Fenrir said, remaining in his relaxed position. The two he had just addressed, a man an a woman, were both lion Kirin. The woman had long blond hair with two rounded, similarly colored ears poking out of her hair. A long, golden tail with a dark brown fur tuft on the end swished around her feet. She wore a deep, royal purple dress with wine red accents, and a silver tiara sat atop her head. The man had dark hair, and a bushy beard. From the top of his head poked two light golden ears, and he had a tail that matched the woman's. His clothing also matched hers in color, and Fenrir's in style, but atop his head sat a golden crown.

These were the King and Queen of Vrail, Thomas and his wife, Oliviana. The two children behind them were the young prince and princess. The prince had black hair, from which two plack ears protruded, and a long black tail flicked around his feet. He was a jaguar Kirin. His clothing consisted of a white shirt, navy vest, brown trousers, and black boots. The princess was a swan. She had pure white hair, similar to Fenrir's, but cut short, to shoulder length, and in feathery layers. She wore a flowing, powder blue dress, and a pair of fluffy white wings poked from behind her, not yet suited for flying. She squealed and ran up to Fenrir, reaching her short arm up to him. The dog Kirin chuckled and picked her up, setting her in his lap. "And how is the wonderful Erica doing this morning?" He asked, smiling. "I'm okay..." The little girl, Erica, said. She was seven years old, soon to be eight.

Erica pulled Fenrir's long, snowy ponytail around and started to pet it. "Soft..." She said, looking up at him with eyes of pale jade. "I brushed it myself." Fenrir said. The younger boy strode down the table and sat down next to the older prince, not looking at him. "Kale? What's bugging you?" Fenrir asked his younger brother. "Nothing..." The jaguar Kirin sighed. He was eleven years old, although his birthday had only been last month. Erica stood on Fenrir's lap, stretching up to whisper in his ear. He leaned down a little to help, "I scared him this morning...Brother went potty in his nice trousers." She said, then sat back down, giggling. Fenrir couldn't help but smile, although that only encouraged her malicious behavior. "Did you apologize?" He asked. "Yes...But he's still mad at me." Erica told him, gallant mood fading.

The King and Queen seemed to be speaking with each other as they took their seats, the queen on Fenrir's right side, and the King at the head of the table. Following the royal procession came a few servants with carts of food and drink. As they set plate's and silverware out, the King spoke. "So, how is my wonderful family this morning?" HIs voice boomed around the table, a husky voice similar to a lion's roar. Kale didn't answer, as Erica beat him to it. " I'm good, but brother is unhappy with me..." She said, still seated on top of Fenrir. The dog Kirin smirked, reaching over and pulling his younger brother's tail, earning a rather angry hiss. "You need to perk up, forgive your sister." He advised. Kale looked at his sister, face softening when he saw the apologetic pools of soft jade light. "Alright...I forgive you." He said. "Excellent." Fenrir commented, then looked back at his parents as his younger siblings started to talk about some nonsensical subject like nothing had ever happened. "So, I understand you needed to speak with me?" He asked, one eyebrow raised in interest.

Re: All is...Not Fair in Love & War- 1x1 with BlueNightEagle

Postby BlueNightEagle » Mon Feb 06, 2012 11:53 am

After their meal, the dishes and glasses and trays were all taken away by servants. The princess leaned back against her chair a little more, while she caught her brother giving her a brief glance, which still showed humor from his little stunt. She just looked away again, ears dropping in silent irritation with him, up toward the head of the table where her parents still sat.
Her father had a thoughtful expression, his long, slender ears pricked. He had dark brown hair, sharp eyebrows, and a sharp nose, while he overall build was slender yet still muscular, his gold crown resting on his head between his ears. Yukon Lamia was a Jackal Kirin, while his wife, Armanda, was a Puma Kirin. She had pale reddish brown hair, wavy and pulled back, and was smaller than the King of Serula, but had similar sharp features compared to his own, and a small but still golden tiara between her black tipped, rounded ears.

"Daughter, Son, I think it's time we discussed something that had been happening over the past few weeks..." the Queen said, putting down her napkin and looking to the two siblings. Her eyes were light brown, and narrowed slightly as she spoke, but only a little, and her voice had a whispery rumble to it, much like Bambi's only hers had not rumble.
She then looked to her husband as he began to speak, his own voice deeper but without such a rumble, yet clear and easily heard without having to even raise his voice. "You are both aware of our being on the verge of war, and what each of you were to do if, however unlikely, this castle was stormed and seemed as though it were going to be taken..." Both nodded. "Well, over the past few weeks, you may or may not have noticed our castle slowly acquiring more armory and other things to raise it's defense. This is because recently we have begun to notice a few riders on occasion near our borders, getting closer than we'd like, and sometimes even in view of the castle.
Now they may only be drunk or curious youngsters wanting to get a look at their bordering kingdom's castle, but they may also be scouts or spies, checking on how aware or prepared we are for a possible attack. I thought you may like to know," he concluded, seeming to be fairly finished. That was one thing about her father, he spoke to the point and did not usually make long speeches, if they were, it was because he had a lot to talk about in one sitting, he did not dwell on just one matter.

"...I have an idea, why don't we just make one simple motion to end the threat of warfare?" Bane asked after a few moments, and the King arched an eyebrow. "What might you be suggesting by that...?" he asked.
"Why don't we just give her Bambi as a gift? I'm the eldest and here to rule, she won't, and it would probably end this own affair. Who knows, maybe one of their children might grow to like her enough, however unlikely, to marry her." The Queen's eyes narrowed, and the Kings closed to prevent losing his temper.
Bambi, however, was not amused, especially since Bane did not seem to be joking entirely. "What. So I'm... expendable to you?!" she said, low and quiet, but easily heard and her ears flattened against her head. "You, you piece of worthless- you cold, heartless- YOU @$$HOLE!!!" Her chair tumbled backward, hitting Reno and making him stumble backward, barely managing not to fall over, as she sprang forward, leaping clear over the table. She seemed to give out a shrill, battle cry, and tackled him like a rabid creature, not a gentle rabbit.
He yipped in surprise, and then pain when the enraged hare Kirin chomped down on the nearest thing to her mouth, which happened to be one of his ears, nails digging into him through his shirt.

By this time her parents had stood from their chairs, and Reno, now aware of what was going on, jogged quickly around the long table to get to the two. The rhinoceros Kirin gently grabbed Bambi by the waist and picked her up, prying her off of her brother, though she was still making furious chattering sounds, and clawed at him like a cat even as she was being pulled off. "Bambi... BAMBI. Cease your attacking girl," Yukon barked, and she sulkily stopped struggling to get out of her body guard's grasp.

When her brother, shaking, sat up, his ear was bleeding a little, along with a few of the many scratches she had inflicted on him, and his shirt was torn while his hair ruffled, gold eyes flashing as he bared his teeth at her. Overall, Bane looked like he'd been forced through a ton of briers rather than being attacked by a hare, or hare Kirin in this case. "You little-" he growled, but was cut off by a hiss of warning to be silent from his mother. "Both of you will stop fighting like sworn enemies if I have to make sure neither of you go near each other to do it," the King stated flatly, "We don't need a warn between family members on top of the threat of a real, much more important one that could have much harsher consequences."
"But Father he-"
"I know, and Bane, if you ever make such a comment, even if you were kidding which you didn't sound like it, you will be in a lot worse shape than what your sister has done to you. But Bambi, don't attack your brother like that in the future unless he attacks you first. Now go straighten yourselves up, and get your wounds tended to Bane, this conversation is over."

Re: All is...Not Fair in Love & War- 1x1 with BlueNightEagle

The servants had placed food on the table, and the family took the liberty to serve themselves. Fenrir started eating, waiting for an answer from his father. Thomas nodded, "Well...You know we've been speaking of war for a while...And hear me out before you say anything..." The king said, noticing the look his son got in his eyes. That slightly dissaproving glint, practically hidden by his interest, but the king had lived with Fenrir long enough to be able to notice it. The dog Kirin nodded. "Anyway, we've been talking about declaring war, you know, and I've come to a decision with my generals..." The king said, pausing for a moment. "And that would be..." Fenrir said expectantly. "We are going to declare war in a month, if the other kingdom doesn't first, that is." The king concluded, then sat back in his chair, waiting for a response.

Fenrir nodded slowly, closing his eyes in thought. One month? One month before his family's reputation would be that of war and bloodshed. No, he did not like that at all. Before he could speak, his little sister interrupted, seeming to have been listening. "Why can't Fen just marry their princess? It happens all the times in my fairy tale books." She asked innocently. "It's not that simple, sweetie." The queen said, speaking up for the first time. "Fenrir can't just get married to their princess...It's...very complicated." She said, looking pointedly at her snowy-haired son. It was complicated for more than one reason. Not only due to the animosity between the kingdoms, but also Fenrir's refusal to be married that got in the way.

"You know all those ladies that came to the castle before?" She asked Erica, who nodded. "They all had wanted to marry Fenrir, but he doesn't want to get married." She explained in simple terms. Fenrir let out a long breath through his nose, then gently picked up Erica and placed her on her mother's lap. He pushed his chair out from the table, getting up. "If you'd excuse me...This conversation isn't to my liking anymore." He said, then turned on his heel and stalked out of the room. He walked down the hall after making sure the guards didn't trail him.

Why? Every conversation he had with his parents lead to that topic. Marriage. The word had earned a specific loathing in his mind. It was no longer something he wanted, something he'd never really wanted in the first place. Yet his parents still tried to force it on him whenever they could, and even something as innocent as his mother explaining to his sister why marriage wouldn't solve their problems...Well, that was just downright sneaky. Now his sister would be on his case constantly, asking him why he didn't want to be married, and he just couldn't stand that. He'd started to avoid his parents whenever he could, but he certainly wouldn't be doing that with his younger siblings.

To his parents, he knew, they just saw it as something that HAD to happen, something that didn't really hold much importance other than his becoming rightful king. Did he care? No. There had been plenty of kings who sat alone on the throne. Fenrir stalked down the hall and to a balcony nearby. He heard soft footsteps, small feet following him, then a small hand grabbed his tail, gently but firmly. Kale. He was always following his brother around, supposedly 'trying to learn how to grow up', as his mother put it. Sure it was cute, but when the boy was copying everything he did...That got a little bit annoying.

Fenrir sighed and walked out onto the balcony, looking out over it with his hands behind his back, eyes closed in frustration. He heard Kale jump up onto the balcony's railing, then he plopped down next to his brother. Fenrir could feel the amber eyes on him, and he opened one of his own golden eyes slightly to gaze down at the panther Kirin. "What is it?" He asked, startling the little boy.

Re: All is...Not Fair in Love & War- 1x1 with BlueNightEagle

Her hair looser and the ribbon that had been in it barely staying now, Bambi was set down by her body guard, and then turned, having nodded in agreement to what her father had said, and walked away from the table. Bane brushed himself off and was lead in the opposite direction by a maid, while the King and Queen only sighed. They knew siblings generally quarreled, and that with time there fights grew father apart and lessened in volume, but both were still young, and their fighting was at it's peak. Silent warfare in his castle and the threat of real war so close his gut told him it would only be a matter of weeks, thought Yukon as he left the head of the table.

After fixing her hair again, this time in not such a fancy way, but still different than the average ponytail, she also changed cloths. Instead of a dress, she wore a button up shirt with long sleeves and a flared skirt. Both were of violet and white hues, as well as her shoes. Now the Princess left her room, and though noticing Reno was not waiting for her outside, she did not wait for him as she proceeded through the large house and her home.
When she had gone down a number of steps and walked for a number of minutes, she soon was in the armory. However, as she started to get her bow and quiver of arrows, she found it was not where it belonged. With an irritable sigh, as she still was riled up about her brother and his comments and actions, the hare Kirin proceeded through the armory out into the training field just outside. Passing a few sparring guards, who quickly stopped to bow to her and waiting for her to pass to continue, she arrived at where she normally stood to target practice.
And there stood the Rhinoceros Kirin, holding both her well made recurve bow and quiver. She blinked, hesitantly taking the quiver and putting it over her shoulder, before accepting the bow from him as well.
"How..." she started to ask, looking at him curiously, and he just laughed a little, guessing her question.
"Really, Bambi, I've watched you grow up and known you since you were a baby, you don't think I'd also know how you are about as well as your parents do?" he replied, and she blinked, then smiled.

He stepped aside and out of her possible line of fire, sitting down a little way from her. Bambi took her usual choice stance, and knocked an arrow onto the string, resting on a notch cut into the bow. Then she pulled and raised it, aiming at the target a number of yards down the range, and with an inhale followed by an exhale, released it. The arrow shot through the air, moving a bit to the left from a light breeze, and land right next to the center of the target.
The next landed right bescide it and closer to the middle.
The third almost dead center. And the rest forming a fairly tight grouping.

Ah relief. Something about this and horse riding always helped her calm down, especially if she was imagining those arrows were going into her brother. But horse riding was usually in the late afternoon and early night after diner, and since it was still morning, this worked almost just as well.
Yet it was also a time she thought, other than of focusing on the target she was aiming at or staying on her horse. Thoughts of war, the pressure her parents and kingdom were under, the reason for it all, curiosity yet also despise toward the other kingdom, and she even wondered if any of their children were old enough to worry and understand such things like these too. Like her.
She also thought of marriage, love, and how grateful she was her parents never tried forcing her to marry someone, leaving it up to her to decide to marry whom she wished. The princess thought of a number of men she had met, and how they were either too childish even if they were a year or two older than her, or a number of years older than her and the feeling she began to felt toward them was more like a freind. Honestly, Reno was the only person who wasn't blood who she loved, but even that was like he were a family member, an uncle she did not have in blood.

With a sigh, Bambi knocked and released another arrow, letting most of the thoughts leave with it.
