Chloe got her phone out and flicked through her messages. She had got several from her ex, Mike, but she just ignored him. What he didn't understand, was that she had said they were over, and it was going to stay that way. But he still didn't listen, no matter what she said, which was one of the things that she hated.. the problem that he wouldn't listen. She stood up and placed her phone in the pocket, and headed off to the fields again, to meet Maria. After yesterday's slip up, Chloe had decided she wasn't going to go out for a match or anything, so she appeared in her casual clothes, just to watch then play. She arrived, and then Maria walked up to her, "You're late, y'know, right?" Maria just joked with a smile, as she looked back at the field. "Too bad you can't play today, hope you can tomorrow." she said, then returned back to the field.

Today Gary decided to take it easy with the rough housing and went out for a jog, His ipod on and blaring in his ears the song blocking out all the thoughts that entered his head. Or at least that is what he thought would happen, but that song spoke to him and invited more thoughts in. He tried his best to cover up the scratches on his face this morning by letting some stubble grow from yesterday which darkened his jaw a little bit but not enough to hide the others across his nose and by his eyes. As he jogged his sneakers hit the pavement with a light slap of rubber and a breath that huffed from his lungs. His underarmour shorts cooled his body and today he had his air force shirt on. He jogged past the soccer fields seeing the girl and if he could freeze he would but he didnt, though he did stop to talk to her. "Hey, what are you doin on the sidelines?" He asked barely out of breath from the run.

Chloe sighed and then looked at him as he spoke, "I can't play, well, not today, anyway. Yesterday I nearly injured my leg again, so the team decided I should take a break for a day, really." she quite simply replied, followed by a small shrug. She furrowed her eyebrows just slightly, as she had noticed some small cuts across his face, very similar to the cuts the wolf had got yesterday, She was slightly curious, as she wondered how he had got the cuts in just one day, and how they became to be so similar to the wolf's cuts. But, as usual, she knew there must have been some kind of explanation for it, as there was always some kind of explanation for everything, and there would be one for this, too.

"I'm Gary by the way" He said holding his hand out to shake hers. Once he did he dropped it at his side and sat down next to her to retie his shoe since the laces were a bit loose. "Well that's good that you're taking a break, I've had my share of injuries in soccer, you know the broken toes, jammed fingers from being goalie. Been there done that" He said with a chuckle. Wow so this was the first time really talking to anyone, this time he felt pretty comfortable. "So do you plan just to sit here all day and watch them play?" He asked.

Chloe smiled at him as she watched him sit down next to her, "Hey. I'm Chloe." she replied, and that was then followed by a shrug. "Yeah, probably. There isn't much else to do, really.. And being captain of the team, I prefer to watch my team, so I know their strengths and weaknesses when they are playing, you see." she replied, and shrugged again. She continued to watch them as they played, smiling slightly. But she hated that she couldn't play. Soccer was like her life, and it killed her to not be able to play, every time, even if it was like today, and just a one-day break. She was addicted to soccer, and loved it. Which was also another reason for her ending her relationship with her ex - he didn't understand how much soccer was her life, and hated how she spent more time at soccer practice than with him.

"Oh, yeah I know the feeling, Im technically the captain of my "Team"" he made the air quotes. "I guess you could call it. Though we do something a little different than soccer" He chuckled and leaned over and his dogtags dangled from his neck watching the team play. "Though watching my team is a bit harder than just sitting on the bench." He said with a smile and looked over at her. "But I was curious if you werent doing anything later we could grab a bite to eat or something, If you want just as friends and get to know eachother a little bit more, since we might be playing on the same fields for a while" he smiled.

Chloe smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I'm free later. And it sounds fun, so sure." she said, replying to that, before anything else. "Well, you guys play sports much more competitively then us girls." she replied, still smiling, in reply to something else she said. Yet again, in her mind popped up about the similarity between the wolf's cuts, and his cuts. She was still curious, on how they were so similar.. and they were both cut in one day. It made her think, at least. But not for good. She felt like she could go mad, in wanting to know how they were so similar.

As she spoke to him he looked her over with his mind, she noticed the cuts, and he could see her struggling to decipher where they had come from, then he saw that glimmer of recognition in her eyes, she was for real, he'd seen her up close last night and now today. She had that same curious look. "Well I'll see you here at around 5," He said and stood. "I'll see you then" He said returning an ear bud into his ear and starting up his jog again, his heart beating fast from how nervous he was around her and finally realizing it.

Chloe nodded, "Alright, bye!" she said in reply, and then brought her focus back to the field. She pulled her phone out to do a little researching, on how he could have such similar cuts to the wolf. And the only idea she could think of, was he was some kind of werewolf.. but she just thought of it as impossible. But she still searched it, finding as much as she could, before finally deciding how they were so similar. Occasionally, she looked up from her phone to the field, as she done what she needed to do as a captain, watch her team for any problems that came about. But her focus was more on her phone, and finding out about him. After searching for a while, she placed her phone back in her pocket, and looked over at the field, as she ran through everything in her head, deciding on her final decision.
