He finally came to a stop at where the houses began, well about fifty feet from where the first house was and he let her off. Nudging her to keep going and he could feel forces pulling him back and he dug his paws into the asphalt and turned to see three vampires behind him. They looked long past dead with their sunken eyes and cold stone like skin. He turned around standing protectively in front of her snarling loudly at the three creatures standing in front of him. Now it was pouring and the heavens began to fall. Even through that the fur on his back and neck bristled and got stiff. His growls were as loud as the thunder that cracked above them. His tail was low and he began to crouch waiting for one to move for him to strike. And once they did the battle was on, trying to keep three vampires from chasing her was his main objective.

Chloe watched for a few seconds with complete shock, and then immediately turned around, walking at a fast pace. Luckily, Maria's house was no more than a minute's walk away from where they currently were. She got her phone back out, to test Maria, letting her know she was okay, and saying that she was almost there. She looked back at the wolf with confusion, wondering exactly why he was protecting her against those creatures.. were they the ones that Gary was talking about when he said someone was after her? She really didn't know, but she knew that she was going to have to talk to him about it.

After a long and torturing fight he finally was able to chase them off with injuries that weakened them enough to retreat. He huffed as they bounded like lighting back the other way from where they came from. Then he too bounded back into the woods. But when he reached the trees he slid to a stop creating ruts in the mud and he shook his pelt. Then looked towards where the houses were, should he stay? He asked himself over and over. But knowing that she was at a friends house, things would be okay for the night. He huffed and bounded back home to his apartment phasing back to human before anyone would even see him in the complex and he was covered with mud when he walked through the door. Though luckily for him Seth was an Earth Elemental and all the mud was cleared from him before he even reached the threshold. "I hate those blood suckers" He grumped and swung the door closed behind them. "So Im guessing she knows about you?" Seth asked as Gary passed him. "Not exactly.." He replied and looked at him. "What do you mean not exactly, Gar. Its either she knows or she doesnt. You cant keep this from her and expect her not to ask any questions at all or live a double life with her. Sure you didnt get the choice when you were a werewolf and an Elemental..you cant even make this simple choice?" He asked and Gary snapped his head up. "You think this is easy? I'd like to see you try and fight three of them off at once and get out alive." he hissed.

Chloe got to the house, and Maria was already there to let her inside, so she walked in, "Thanks, Maria." Chloe said with a smile. "Oh, any time!" Marya replied, cheerfully. They sat down to talk for a few minutes, and Chloe just said how she had heard there were some guys following her, which she wasn't sure was true or not, so she felt safer at a friend's house, and of course, Maria went along with it, as she didn't know that there was much more to the story, which she didn't need to know. Maria then left to sleep, but Chloe stayed where she was, as she continued thinking. She was wondering how that wolf had anything to do with her, as the only ever time she had seen the wolf, was after soccer practice.. but the wolf was just so.. extraordinary.. so she didn't get it. None of what was happening was piecing together, and it all confused her way too much.

Gary nor Seth said another word and they both went to their rooms to get ready for bed. Gary remembered that she sent him a text message and snatched up his phone sending a reply. Hey, yeah I know we need to talk. Just I had to go back to work and couldnt get your message in time. he sent back. Okay he was lying but not totally, protecting her was technically his job that he only got paid for with keeping his life and he really didnt get her message in time because well he was already with her. With that he got a quick shower and got changed for bed. Even if he was tired he was going to wait up for her reply as long as he could.

Chloe's face lit up as she saw she had got a reply from Gary. She read it and slightly sighed, 'Well, tomorrow we need to talk at some point - it's really, really important.' she replied, then stood up, and started pacing around the house a little. She didn't know why, but the wolf really reminded her of Gary.. and that was one thing she had to talk to him about. She knew he was more than likely going to end up laughing at her for saying she had saw a 5ft wolf, but hey, she was hoping that he knew what was going on.

'I know, I know. Believe me once i figure out what to say..I will talk to you. So i guess i better start thinking lol he sent back with a light smile and laid the phone down on his chest and he stared up at the dark ceiling, the lightning making it brighter now and again with a rumble of thunder that followed right behind. The rain just fell on the roof at a steady pour. It relaxed him to the point that he might as well go into a coma. He loved this weather at night when he was going to sleep or during a day that he just felt like moping around and not having work or anything.

Chloe just smiled as she read the message, 'Yeah, you better get thinking.' she replied, then walked into the guest room, pulling her glasses out of her pocket and putting them on a small table. She then sat on the bed, placing her phone beside her, and she awaited a reply, as everything ran through her head. She was still finding it impossible to place everything together, after all the thinking she had done, as none of it was easy to understand.

Is everything okay where you are? he sent after a moment of thinking about what to say next. He was never good at holding a conversation when he was tired, but he wanted to talk to her. It was like one of those things when you say 'lol' because there is nothing else to say but you still want to keep talking to them.

Chloe slowly nodded as she read the message, even know that she wasn't actually nodding in reply to anyone. "Yeah I guess. I'm at a friend's house, right now." she replied, and then yawned a little. She was tired, but she really wanted to stay awake, so she could talk to him. She continued to think about everything that had happened, hoping to finally piece it all together, so she could understand everything that had happened, and why it all happened.
