Charlotte glanced over at her brother and turned her gaze forward again. "I'm going to go get that soup... thanks Steven." she whispered and got up. She walked over to the kitchen, wondering why her brother was being so... annoying. She sighed and got a spoon out and started eating, sitting down at the kitchen table.

Devon shrugged and got up from the couch, not enjoying this awkwardness‘. “Maybe it would be best if I leave” He faked a smile as he slowly inched towards the door. “See you guys around, I guess”

Charlotte glared at Steven and slowly walked towards Devon. She tucked her hair behind her ear and looked up at him. "You're the only friend I've had in a while... so can you please stay? We can go to the arcade or whatever, and escape grumpy Steven. Please?" she asked softly, her voice cracking. She didn't want him to go. It was true, he was her only friend she's had in a while... and it was the same for him too.

Devon swallowed, looking into her eyes, and noticing how beautiful she was. "Oh, Um, Uh... Sure... Lets go!" He stammered, trying not to act so obvious about his thoughts. With a smile, he offered his hand.

It was very true that Charlotte was his first real friend in a very long time, and he enjoyed talking with her, she made him feel as if he wasn't dead, like he was truly alive. Could it be possible that his ghost boy was falling for a human? {Yes, yes it is x3}

Charlotte smiled softly and looked back at Steven. "We'll be back by dinner!" she said happily and took his hand. She looked up at his blue eyes and she tilted her head slightly to the side.

"There's one across the street... it's kind of embarrassing, but they know me and my brother pretty well there, and if I'm lucky, they'll give me a bucket of quarts!" she said happily and walked out of the apartment with him, swinging their hands back and forth.

Devon smiled happily. "Really?" He chuckled lightly, and let himself be led by Charlotte. "I've actually never been in an arcade before" He arched an eyebrow, still smiling at her. "Is it fun?"

Charlotte blushed, nodding her head. She walked down the steps with him and looked over at him. "It's the best!" she exclaimed and smiled. The 4'9" girl glanced up at Devon, the smile still on her face. She had been in competitions for a couple of video games, she had played, though she preferred being outside better... but the video games were at home. The arcade games were easy to her, and plus, there was a bowling alley next door that she sometimes went to.

Devon nodded. Although he was a guy, and stereotypically, guys were supposed to play video games and whatnot, he had never really gotten into them, he had only played a video game once, and it hadn't been so pretty. He had lost terribly, and he was playing against his six year old cousin, whom was female.

"I'm warning you now, I am horrible bad at video games, so I might not be the best at arcade games either" He said, with a smile.

Charlotte looked over and chuckled, shrugging her shoulders. "It's alright, I'll let you win." she assured and squeezed his hand before walking across the street with him, taking small steps.

Once they got there, she smiled to herself and looked up at the building. "This is the place," she said and smiled, leading him into the arcade, the usual smile on his face.

Devon shook his head, a smile still on his face. "But that wouldn't be very fair, now would it?" He chuckled softly, following Charlotte into the arcade. "Promise you wont laugh at my suckish gaming skills?" He smiled, tilting his head to the side.
