Artyom nodded and kept the gristly image in his head, "That's right."

"This love, is it a thing kept for two mates--er, lovers? Or is it for things like, eh, you call them, er, girlfriend and boyfriends? Can they call it love?" Velydia asked. She had different songs for crushes, young lovers, and life mates.

Artyom nodded, "Exactly."

Velydia smiled, "When they feel love, do they kiss?" She asked softly, a bit of color coming to her cheeks.

Artyom was sure that his face was completely red by now. He simply nodded, finding it hard to muster up his voice.

Velydia grinned and leaned up slowly, wary of Artyom's reaction, and gently pressed her lips against his.

Artyom stifled a surprised squeak and forced himself to calm down, slowly kissing Velydia back. He wrapped his arms around her waist, gently pulling her closer.

Velydia smiled against Artyom's lips and slowly pulled away. "You have love for me?" She asked softly, a bit breathless from her racing heart.

Artyom's heart started to race again, and his efforts of cooling his emotions with the poor dead puppy were not working. He nodded and braved a small smile, "Yes."

Velydia grinned and leaned up to kiss Artyom again, a bit more enthusiastically.
